Hi, all DLC have scxxx number, which number is it the Chiyoda Branch Line? I can't locate it in the packages folder of appdata. Thanks.

That's the product code for the item in question (sc means Simulator Central from memory which was the predecessor of the current Trainz Store).

Hi ffccnn

When I buy something new from the trainz store the next time I load up Tane it will tell me I have something to download. Because I installed Tane into the folder "N3V\Tane-beta" on my C: drive the new package I purchased will go into "C:\N3V\Tane-beta\userdata\packages". In fact when you look there you find many folders all starting with "sc###". 157 folders in total. lol (and me I want to now how everything works) ... well I just have to know what's in all these folders. Thus I have a txt file listing whats in each one.

I have moved ALL my TRAINZ version to other HDD/SDD drives for speed and reduction of Read/Write activity on the same disk.
I then created a separate folder on Drive G: for TRS 2019 and installed it there. HOWEVER, when I downloaded TRS2019 packages, I ran out of disk space on drive C: as I tried
to down load ALL the SCnnn packages listed. It apparently did npot go to Drive G: where the rest of the program is located.

Can the SCnnn downloads be re-directed to the actual install folder<?> or do I have to download a few and then manually move them to the install folder????

The Packages folder is part of the data folder structure that should be at the new location. If your DLC downloads are not being placed into that folder then your installation is still referring to folders on the C: drive - the transfer is incomplete. Perhaps you moved the application without also moving the data. What exactly did you do to move the installations?

I had installed my Trainz games on seperate SSD's from the get go thinking it would be the ultimate insurance if my OS had a problem.

My OS did have a very big problem and I had to do a full re-install on it's seperate SSD and then when I coppied the application .exe icon on to my desktop and started Trainz, the game started but all my added content and custom sessions were missing and I had to re-build all that anyway.

It would seem to me that all that I was missing was on the WIN SSD when it was re-formatted.

There is a part of Trainz that is always on the System drive (probably C, and it needs to be reinstalled properly if the C: drive is replaced.

If you didn't back it up you can easily repair the default installation that Trainz has done.

In the launcher, select Trainz Settings \ Install. The default Local data folder is listed. Change this to the location on the SSD that you moved your data to. If you changed the folder name in the move, you can check what the new folder should be by looking at the location listed as the Local data folder and noting the subfolders it contains - the equivalent folder at the new location is what you need to enter as the new Local data folder.

After you have confirmed that your content is now restored, you can delete the default Local data folder. Be sure to delete only exactly what was listed under settings - there is still a small amount of Trainz folders and files that needs to remain at that default location.

When I installed TRS2019 I changed the install foldr to my G: drive but when the screen popped up for the SCnnn downloads, NO OPTION was given to change the location. I thought it would go to the same folder as the install. I only found out when my system report a full drive C: about an hour later.

This is why I am hoping there in an option (other than replacing my C: drive with a larger SDD) to get the game running and showing all the routes.

No option is needed. The downloads will go to the Packages folder in the folders structure referenced by the Settings value for Local data folder. If that's not happening then your Local data folder isn't pointing to where you think it is. If you moved the data files then there shouldn't even be a Build folder on the C drive.
