To all those who may be interested in
NSW Illawarra & Southern Highlands
I have always tried to make my route interesting and look somewhat real. Assets have been selected as and when I find them.
You know what I mean here, there is so much to choose from both on the DLS & in the public domain
but it takes many hours of searching to find the one that looks just right. As I haven't yet progressed to asset construction,
I thank all those out there that have created all those useful bits & pieces I have included in my route(s).
As a result I have livened
NSW Illawarra & Southern Highlands up a bit more and will soon post Version 3.0 while still keeping the same look & feel
This includes, but is not limited to:
1. Changed all catenary stanchions and overhead wires to NSW equivalents from
davido #60723
2
. Named all mainline signals to something akin to the real thing - thanks to
pgibbons #68830
3. Removed some hidden annoying splines that were causing Trainz to fall over when merging routes
4. Added many more scenery assets
5. Added some interactive industries
6. Re-aligned track at several locations
7. Changed invisible speed signs to a more manageable type from
miko #128319
8. Included all credits to appropriate creators in the config file
9. Electrified the PK Coal Terminal to enable use of electric locos NSW 86 Class (eg like those by
nswgr_46class #73150) which haul coal down from NSW regional mines10.Electrified a loop in each of Cringilla & North PK yards - not exactly to prototype
11. The Dombarton line shows part electrification-under-construction in line with what was proposed for the Dombarton-Maldon link
12. The PK Harbour loop shows part electrification-under-construction as it appears todayLook for <kuid:429700:100441> on the DLS in the not too distant future. It is free to use as you wish.
To all those who download the route and find there are missing assets (most are readily available), send an email to my offsider
at
ericpearce52@gmail.com who will assist as best he can. Or you can search at
http://www.trainzkuidindex.com/ and download in your own time.
Like previous versions of this route, you can easliy merge with picton2goulburn <kuid:68830:100201> from pgibbons
with minimal spline and texture rework and the merge interface.
Meantime, I'm working on a couple of simple sessions to use with this version which should give you, the Driver, an overview of the layout.
Cheers
