NS Southern Heritage is here!

It wasn't THAT long ago that this program was announced. I'm surprised how fast these are coming out of the paint shop! I figured it would be several months before we started seeing them, and months in between.

According to the NS press release, CofG and NKP will be out by the end of this week:udrool: (ending 3-24-12) or thereabouts. Just waiting for BNSF now!:D BTW, Trains Mag has been cooking up a couple of photoshops recently for BNSF, they look pretty good!

Well this is not UP. :) But seriously I guess that NS wanted to make sure that this would not turn into the circus that up had with theirs.

I posted the same picture on the thread: Conrail Heritage unit thru Cresson, PA!
Note: The exclamation point meant that I was surprised that the picture here is the exact same picture I posted on the thread mentioned in this post.

I'd like to see a complete consist of all the heritage locomotives on one train. Maybe displayed together somewhere special, like Roanoke? How about Altoona? Also, #8099 needs to be displayed at the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum on National Train Day, along with GP59 #4610, the Southern-painted one; along with two of the executive F-units (They're normally there).

4610 is no longer painted Southern green and white. It was repainted back to black to make way for 8099. I think green and white looks alot better on 8099 than it ever did on 4610.

It looks like it crashed through the safety striping factory..... NPR, the safest railroad in the east! ... apparently :hehe:

cheers

 The Heritage F's hauled the executive train.

So, if we had a Southern Heritage in Trainz, on what route would we run it?

Oh.
My.

(Is that a ACe, or a 70M/60M in the backround?)
(EDIT: Just saw the number and it's a SD60E )
