Hi Scratchy
Pofig's trees used to be available in large packs but pretty sure his current site is strictly one-at-a-time which is great for locating the occasional missing tree, but a drag to get the lot. Some of Pofig's latest trees have a browner tone, but there are no bright greens.
The trees look fantastic close-up, but the issue I have with them is that the far distant LOD tree is nowhere near as bulky as the foreground version of the same tree, so you lose the full leaf canopy look on distant hillsides. This is an ST issue, nothing to do with Pofig's trees in paticular. I guess you could pack them way close in the distance, but that uses a zillion extra trees. In TS10 you can mix Trunda trees in the background (in comp mode) to get the best of both worlds, but in TS12 you are stuck with STs.
The distant-hillside look has pretty much killed my East Kentucky series, future routes will be in areas with mostly grassy fields with just occasional small woodland areas. Certainly the Appalachian forests are out, for me anyway...
