Haven't been to MG in a while :)

Bridge over the main to the old slag dump, run by the steel works in Johnstown. The steelworks closed in i think, 1998, and pretty much killed the town. For the route i think i will keep this open, would make for some interesting switching operations

Southern Pacific?? Is that not the wrong side Rich?? Just googled a SP route map and the furtherst toward China (east) it goes Chicago...

Maybe they wee in to Juniata for some work/repair/a new dip. Last i knew Juniata was both EMD and GE certified and just about any railroads equipment could show up there both big and small. So not really too far fetched when you think about it.

Technically yes, but I've seen plenty of pics of just about every RR company on this line including UP, CN, BNSF etc.. plus it adds for a bit of interest, not to mention there one of my favourite locos:p

@Octls2, another good reason i guess:)

Not at all. We just returned from a research trip up there. We visited the shops over the course of 2 days and saw some UP, Ferromex, CSX, and MBTA. That place is amazing....

Cool images so far Scratchy. I am impressed by the detail of the route and the amazing way you capture the former Pennsylvania Railroad mainline in the modern day of railroading with Norfolk Southern running on the former PRR. I can't wait to see more screen pictures of your amazing route.
