NOTICE: I'm closing my web site down

Hi all,
Geocities is shuting down later this year so I'll be closing my web site down next month, too. If anybody needs anything over there, I suggest you click my sig link below and download what you want before it closes.

It looks as if I'll be leaving Trainz as well and have already started up old MSTS again. RS is also looking even better. I prefer a more realistic railroading experience and Trainz just doesn't seem to do it for me after all these years, here.

Limiting

Yes, I found MSTS very limiting. Trainz opened up a whole new world!

And as can be seen from my uploaded routes, I am still investigating it fully, ha ha.

Never looked at RS, but I did buy into Rule the Rails, but that's more a toy trains experience, not to be confused with a train sim like Trainz in any of its versions.

Good luck with whatever you wish to do, enjoy it, that's what life is about.

It would be a shame to see your site go. I realise your interests may have changed, but your site is a real benefit to other Trains users and I for one would like to see it stay. I can host the site free of charge on my server and do it all without much effort from you. I'll put up and maintain the site and we can both share the password until you change your mind or lose interest completely. All I'll need from you is the web pages or written permission to copy the existing site. That shouldn't take you long.

My offer is also open to anyone else being hosted by Geocities.

Never looked at RS,

Rail Simulator is alright , but it has limited trains, some others are downloadable from the internet, but its really hard to get them to work.
There is some British content on their though,
i have it and i enjoy it every now and then.

I may need your help also, but I am trying to set a new site with Yola at the moment, seems to have alot of the functions needed, but not as well as GeoCities. Anyway, Im me with yoiu hosting idea, ok.

Many of the things I had downloaded before my PC Crash apparently are also Missing from the DLS, so that is not so great a fix!

I just went there but on http://www.geocities.com/thegrindre/page5routes.html I cannot find any button to download the layout, only some screenshots. I possible I would like to save the layout as well.

Can you please have a look?
