What the hell is going on for 4 days now I have not been able to download from the download station why do i pay hard erned money to auran to keep being told that any Browser that i use dose not allow or Recognise downloads from auran I have just brought a new computer with windows 7 on it 64bit 4 gig ram top GFX card and all i get is this message that there is something missing in Internet EXP, But I think the site is down but they dont tell you and also trainz 2009 with all the service packs installed runs like a pig on this new computer thinking off going back to my 2 gig michine everythink that is installed on this computer is the same as the old one yet this wont let me download what can it be end of rant THANK YOU who read this.
 
i have no problem'swith the d/l stationbtw do have a fct.. my computer is running windows 7 and i use explore 8 , i been download stuff evey day over teh past weeks,, so it on your end.....
 
Likewise ... it has worked fine for me over the past 4 days so the problem is clearly at your end - why did you not consider that possibility before blaming everyone else?

Typically when you buy a new machine the drivers will be out of date. Windows update gets you the Microsoft certified ones so try those first otherwise check your video card manufacturer's site. Is it an nVidia?

First thing to try is close content manager and reboot the PC.

Second thing is remove your password and user details from CM, save exit, restart CM and input the same details again and save and pray! usually works for me.
 
Just now when i try to d/l iam unable to d/l ,it said check internet, firewall conn, so i just closed and opened again , without reboot , works fine now.

I didconsider that and checked all drivers Gfx As well even whent back to internet 8 from /9 have been to the site 10mins ago got the the part were it said allow said ok then nothing it disapeared and no download and yes it is an Nvidia 9200 GFX and sir I am not blaiming everyone I was haveing a rant at Aruan they have a tendencey to not tell people when the site is down will give it one more try if no good back to train sim
 
Hate to burst your bubble, but a 9200 is not or anywhere near a top Gfx (I assume to mean graphics) card. Also, 4gig of ram is not very much for a Win7 64b system.
I only have 6 gig in my new system and Windows uses 40% of that in idle. :p

I would like to say a big thank you to all the guys who posted back on this threed thank you for your time. its all back now and working fine and I'm glad to say it was nothing at my end Auran had server Probs but they will not let us know when there is a Prob so now Im going to ask for the 5 days credit on my first class ticket so Thanks to all you are stars.

Good luck, but where in the UK roughly are you from? No problems for me in Leicester, East Midlands with downloading. :eek:

I would still say it was your local area, and not N3V's fault.

But updating the video drivers is free and eliminates one possible cause on a new machine because the factory installed ones are typically out of date.

I find this curious? I'm running a new i7 @ 3.9 Ghz, 6 Gb RAM, on WIN7-64 bit, at 21% RAM usage. Maybe it's the GPU (NVidia 570 GeForce)?
 
i7 950, X58 Extreme 3, Two times Nv 460GTX in SLI, 6gig OCZ Reaper Triple channel mem, WD Vraptor 150G (c drive) WD raptor 250G (other bits) WD Vraptor Sata3 450G (Trainz only), LG opticals, Cooler Master HAF case with extra sensor fans and a Cooler Master Silent Pro Gold 1000w PSU.
I have nothing installed other than AVG 2011 and Malwarebytes. This is indeed interesting, I keep wondering where all the ram keeps going?:eek:
