Northern Arizona Route

I would imagine '12, if it works in MAC I'm sure it works in '12 but not sure about '10.

And '12 is newer and has some better features

@Eaglefan9727, unfortunately I don’t know the answer to your question. My guess is it would also work in TS10 as well as TS12. At some point I’ll try and get the answer. My progress on this route has slowed down a bit because I’m so busy with work. I still manage to make progress on the route with what little free time I have lately. It’s just not at the pace I was moving at four or five months ago. I’ve got a long way to go still.

No problem. Like I said, I have both programs that I could install whenever it is needed. Your route and the upcoming Donner Pass are the two routes that I am looking foward to running and I will install Trainz again when either route gets released. Keep up the good work on the route as you have done a great done on it so far.

Euphod, thanks again. Sorry I got all rivety-countery about the bridge emblem.

No worries Gordon, eventually I'll match your vision to mine, maybe not the first time, or the second, or even the fourth...but right around the fifth incarnation seems to be my sweet spot.:D

GNdome55,
First rate looking route. IF and(hopefuly) when this route is released it will be an instant hit and a classic.
I do have a favor to ask. Would you be willing to post some more pics of the power station. I am trying to build one myself, and need some inspiration.
Thank you.
Kenny

Thanks for the comments

As far as the coal power plant I did, I’m planning at some point to change a few things to improve it. I worked from photos and aerial photos of Cholla Power Plant in Joseph City, AZ. I did the best I could do at the time with what I could find. What I would need to do it right would require custom created content. The four unit towers are big green metal structures that have a hodge-podge of piping, conveyors and other industrial looking stuff. I used some grain elevator buildings for my towers and some “Industrial Structures” content around that. With coal plants it depend when it was built as to how it looks. This one was originally built in the early 60s so it has some real industrial ugly going for it. The look is different than older brick plants. One thing that helped me was a diagram I found online that showed the basic layout of a typical coal plant. It at least helped me understand what I was looking at in the photos. Check out steamrodders Wenatchee WA thread. I would say he’s a master at building complex industrial structures with available DLS content.

Thank you for the reply. I do believe I have a decent looking plant for what I need.

I do have another request, Can you identify the 5 bay garage in the above shot. I have been looking but am ready to go blind from the search.
Thank You Again.

That’s by xawery: Industrial building 02. Check out all of his warehouses and buildings, I have a few more around this coal plant. Don’t forget the coal unloader too. Your inquiry got me back to doing some changes on my coal plant this weekend. As I understand the part of a generating plant that looks like a substation is called a switching yard. As I mentioned before, steamrodder has an amazing substation. I’m going to try and find out what he used for some of his content. I’ll post some shots when I finish the rework on my coal plant. Good luck with your coal plant. I’d like to see some shots when you’re finished.

I also have a few cooling towers by leeferr. It's a nice feature to add with the steam effect.

This is a test area to represent the transition from sparse desert plateau vegetation to more pines heading west towards Flagstaff. In this transition in the higher elevation, I want to show more pinyon pines and other smaller desert pines. As I get closer to the eastern Flagstaff area I’ll be placing larger stands of ponderosa pines.

@Scoot, thanks for the comment

Thanks MTW

Thanks to slabay for doing variations of lines on gfisher’s AASHTO 32’ road. I like the look of this road on my desert route. Now I have correct markings for divided interstate and two-lane highway (route 66).

I gotta say more!

Your ground texture work is second to none. Those distant hillsides with just the slightest variation in colour - the dry creek bed meandering into the distance - everything about that shot is just brilliant. I am utterly in awe.....
