Northern Arizona Route

So I looked up the thousand monkeys, thousand typewriters thing. That’s some pretty high math. That’s right up there with “Schrodinger’s cat” quantum mechanics theory. Both are the kind of theories that if you think about it too much your head will explode.:eek:
Back to my simpler world of placing content on this route. Now that the DLS works again I got the route 66-road decal. I thought this was a good location to try it out. It looks great. ‘A lot of possibilities for other road markings with this.

Like roadkill, maybe?

You do it justice in your screen, thanks. It looks like somebody there needs a date!

I doubled the size of the textures to retain detail, knocked down the white and then added an overlay of a darker gray. Let me know how the monkeys did!
Emblem, Bridges and Buildings, Santa Fe 4 Weathered. Thanks to Gary. Just uploaded.

The route in general (and the bridge emblem :) :) ). The only problem is, it makes my efforts at terrain texturing look like a 5 year old kid with a crayon set... :(

Ed I’d say that’s the look. I like the higher resolution and weathering. Just one thing though, could you drop the 2nd (outer) square outline on the heralds. It should only be one outline. Other than that I really do like the look of this one! I appreciate the time and effort you’ve put into these.

Thanks for the comments.

Ed you don’t need the monkeys or typewriters. The Santa Fe bridge emblem is perfect!

Gordon & Ed,
Nice team work guys!!!

Mind-blowing work Gordon,I admire your you stunning artistic approach to route building this one is going to hard to top in the way North American routes(well unless you got another project planned for the future lol)

inspirational stuff!!!

-That tow truck looks like Mater from that movie "Cars". Your setting new standards in Trainz route building Gordon. Excellent work and I always look forward to seeing more.

@817TAYLOR, thanks

@Euphod, thanks again. Sorry I got all rivety-countery about the bridge emblem.

@Kingstonflyer, thanks for the complement. IMO there are many spectacular North American routes out there. I consider your detailed and well-composed screenshots to be in that category! I’m always learning by what I see others do in Trainz.

@socalwb909, thanks Joe, that’s funny I thought the same thing about that tow truck. By the way I like your new web site. The content looks great and I enjoyed the rail videos.

@kamran, thanks

@malikrthr, thanks, I’ll get back with a list of some of that content.

Just curious - I dont have Trainz installed right now, But I will reinstall it when this route gets released at some point. My question is as follows. Which version of Trainz will this route be good for? Trainz 2010 or Trainz 2012....I have both versions. Thanks in advance.
