Northern Arizona Route

@CPman117, thanks, I’m not anywhere near making any estimate for when I’ll finish this route.

@MTW, thanks, what about those NP F7’s. I think I heard you fall out of your chair from all the way over here in Minnesota. That was because I had already fallen out of my chair and my ears were closer to the ground.

Here is one more shot of this location. I only wanted to feature the graffiti on that wellcar but I got carried away working on the foreground. I try to find different textures that blend well together. This foreground has only three high res textures. One TS09 built-in, one JVC, and a red sand one from the DLS.

I think it's time to accept the fact that your texturing is going to over shadow any piece of equipment you put on the tracks! Really impressive work!

A shot of the new Santa Fe bridge emblem created by Euphod. It’s looks great, thanks Ed.

You're welcome Gordon, but I have a suspicion that I could reskin a pile of manure, and you would be able to make it look great! Your work is amazing!

A little something that I hope is completely unexpected! I received permission today to be able to offer you this, which you may be able to use in a few places. As a bonus, you won't have to move any other asset to use it!

Rt 66 Symbol Road Decal. Thanks to Jack!
Just uploaded.

Amazing shots here what-your-name.

I have a way to get stuff on the Mac onto a Windows trainz version.
If it’s something other than transferring the file with a flash drive I’m listening. It’s really not a concern for me right now. I have to finish the route first.

Looks very good, I’ll have a few locations to use that. The “Standing on a corner” park in Winslow has the route 66 in the middle of the intersection. I have a request for the bridge emblem, would it be possible to have a version with slightly smaller Santa Fe heralds but leave the center font the same? Also a little more weathered? I think it’s a great detail feature to have.

That top one Gordon - the lighting, the sky, the choice of textures, the orange hue that infuses the whole shot.....

Sheeeeeeeshhhhh....

:)

Thanks kamran

Thanks Andy, the shots were in a location that I’ve previously posted. I wanted to feature the new bridge and emblem and got a pretty cool view looking under the bridge. It’s easy on this route to get the oranges and reds to pop.

@BobCass, thanks for the comment.

So it shall be done.
Thanks Ed, I’m very pleased with how real (painted on) the emblem looks. (On a side note) there is a Soo Line bridge I drive under almost everyday. It had Soo Line spelled out on placards. They were so weathered you could hardly read them. Well CP decided to clean the bridge during maintenance a couple of weeks ago. They took the Soo Line placards off. I’m sure no one else cared but I was pissed. I see a piece of railroad history others see a grimy eye sore.

You are welcome, BUT; there may be a big difference between your "slightly" and mine, and your "Weathered" and mine. You can see where they may not match your vision, so have patience. We will eventually get it right, like a thousand monkeys and a thousand typewriters!

Ed I agree, to say weathered could mean anything from grimy and rusty with faded chipped paint to just slightly discolored. It seems to me, in Trainz, when an object is pure white it looks all right in shadow but is a little too glaring white when facing the virtual sun. Here is a shot I took off a video. In the first shot I brightened the white to sort of match the emblem as it is. In the 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] shot I toned it down to a slightly discolored white. (Maybe a little variation here and there). I think because I will use the emblem on a lot of my bridges, I would rather have it with crisp detail but a little discolored rather than the chipped paint look. I do appreciate you doing this and I hope I’m not being too picky.
Gordon

One more with just a little bit more weathering
