Thanks for the comments guys. It’s good to see you back again on the forum Andy.
The last 2 shots are on a few boards I’m using to test the new TS2 mac version. We finally have animated water so the very first thing I did was make a lake. That built in sky probably makes the shots pop more than anything. The new Mac version is pretty much TS12 for Mac. The general lighting seem a little better than the previous version. Right now things are very buggy as far as third party content showing up faulty. Hopefully those issues will be resolved soon.

Great Route. Is Williams Arizona featured here?
I’ve thought about including Williams on the western end of my route and not going as far as I originally planned on the eastern part. Right now I don’t know what I’m doing with the route. These last four shots are created in the new TS2 Mac version. I’m just testing it out. A lot of my preferred content is faulty because of a bug in this new Mac version. I do intend to move my route to this version which is equivalent to TS12. For now, until N3V fixes the bugs, I’m just having a little fun with what works in this version. Who knows, maybe this will evolve into a small fictional Northern Arizona Route. Like one I could actually finish.

Great photos as always! I was able to do a little research on the GN about a month ago when I took Amtrak from Whitefish, MT to Seattle. Whitefish has a great little museum there with quite a bit of GN history. I really enjoyed it.

That sounds like an amazing trip you took. Someday I hope to take the Amtrak Empire Builder out to Seattle with a stay over at the Izaak Walton Inn in Essex. I’ve driven through northern Montana before and I also spent a lot of time in Seattle a few years back. The scenery in both the Cascades and western Montana is spectacular! Here’s a link to GN archive by Jon Snyder. It’s got some great rail video from last year between Seattle and Marias Pass. The 50s / early 60s Barriger GN photo library is very interesting too.

GNdome55: Those are super amazing screenshots. Very realistic. I really like the passenger, freight action, and the dog looking out the window of the car.
