Scott, I have a Mac Pro tower so it’s expandable to a point. I put in a new ATI Radeon HD video card. It works great. I also have Cinema Display monitors. It’s sad that computer years are at least double to dog years. The new Mac Pro coming out this year will support up to 6GB of V-RAM. It will also cost an arm and a leg. As an artist and musician I have always used Macs, which may mean nothing other than I’m locked into some pricey software for Mac, (But not really). If Trainz was my only priority I’m sure a PC and TS 12 would be the way to go. I’m disappointed that no updates have happened with TS Mac.Just out of curiosity, what are you running Trainz on? My Macbook just isn't cutting it (it is about 4 1/2 years old now) and it is time for an upgrade. Sadly, I think I will be saying goodbye to Apple, but it looks like you've got MUCH better graphics going on than I do.

Ulmer94’s speed limit signs
It really does look like a cheese grader. It’s been the most problem free computer I’ve ever had. Good luck with what ever you choose.I figured you had to be running a cheese grater with a high end graphics card in it. The new one looks good, but I'm sure $3K is going to be the low end on them, and for a used one, even on eBay they are still pretty pricey. I haven't used a desktop in years, so portability is important to me. I've loved the simplicity of using MacOS, but none of the content creation tools are available there. I model in 3ds Max and depend on PEV's tools, so 90% of the time I'm using my MacBook, I'm running Win7 anyhow. Looks like its replacement this year will be an Alienware machine (although I like the Toshiba Qosimo too).
I've never seen the blue mist before. That's a really nice detail.
I think I remember you mentioning that before. Willem2’s speed limit signs are a nice detail that adds to the realism of a route.Nope, they're willem2's speed limit signs.willem2 did the textures and meshes, while all I did was a little config magic to make them scenery objects, with Bill's kind permission.
Nice shots. Love that highway sign...fair warning.
Thanks Chris, I just wanted to do a shot with the door open on the Dash-9. The guy is one of the HP rail workers. This guy is leaning forward slightly so it actually looks like he’s climbing the steps. If the train moves forward a few feet he’ll have a lot of heavy steel pass through him.Awesome Gordon. Did you kitbash that guy climbing up into the cab on the Warbonnet Dash 9 or is that an awesome feature I didn't know about? Either way, that last shot seems soooooo real!!!! Could not have done a better job!
I own an iPad but I don’t own Trainz for iPad. I don’t mind because it gives me another little yard track next to my name. I tried Trainz driver (iPhone) for about 15 minutes and haven’t touched it since. As far as your question, I have Trainz for Mac. TSMac sits in limbo somewhere between TS10 and TS12. We cannot create CDPs as well as a few other annoying limitations. It’s what I’ve got and it doesn’t stop me from continuing to work on this route. Someday, if things don’t change with TSMac, I would have to get my route file to someone with a PC version. That someday is a long ways off.20 feet, I don't call that fair warning..........:hehe:
Just being nosey, as I don't operate iPad or TS MAC, exactly what version of Trainz is this route being built for, please ?
Cheerz. ex-railwayman.
