No workable points......

I put this problem in someone else's thread so re-doing it here.

I discovered the other night that 30 bridges (apart from 4 or 5 road) but essentially rail bridges have vanished from my routes. But even more concerning is that Inow have 111 sets of points that won't work as the points motors all vanished also. Even all the built-in CMP levers have disappeared from my lists. I have tried Tside Point Motor QR W63 but only works in 2 places and still have 109 unworkable junctions. If I try I get two red arrows instead of a red and green. I would even use the standard Trainz lever if I still had the dashed thigs. Bad enough I have to go round putting 30 odd bridges back in situ but what is even more presing is my inability to have any levers or points motors. Leaves me in a full stop now.

I would check the dependencies of your route to make sure you haven't inadvertantly downloaded an updated asset which is either faulty, or the wrong build-number.

It is possible to download trainz-build 3.3 assets into TS2009 for example.

It tells me that I have 65 broken, 2 broken dependencies, 0 missing dependencies, 0 on download station, 0 unkown.

I noticed that there is a a "TS09_11" (?) showing the broken exlamation? but nothing in relation to track stuff.

Does your route have any dependant assets that have a Trainz-build higher than the route itself?

You might need to turn the column on in CMP to see it - right click on column headings and select Build Version.

Many assets have been repaired recently, but have been given higher build numbers unfortunately. The CMP in TS2009 does not stop you downloading them even though they will not show in game. It might be the cause of your problem......

Hi stovepipe,

Bit unsure here about your answer. Originally I started it in 06 but transferred it into 09 and still in that. Not sure about the CMP sugggestion. Went into that and tcik on the subject you mentioned but then what do I do?

I discovered after some experimenting how to solve the problem about all the missing point levers (had previously changed the standar for the flat looking types. I had to remove splines at crossovers or diverging tracks as well as taking them out. Once I replaced the splines I could get a switch lever back. It has been a slow thing and the yards and two main stations at Belfast were time consiming in particular. I also noted some regular things were on the route but didnt show up in the wee window on the right. However if I tapped the curser over an item on the route I could then add it! Another thing is that in the wo#indow list some items appear in red text so some clarity on what that means could be helpful.

Haven't got to replacing the 30 odd dashed lost bridge as have spent hours on reclaing my levers!

Meant to say i am still puzzled about the version matter. When in CMP I go into that I get a click on the version but what happens next? Oddly the route was working previously.

Struggled on this one but found it.
On your route in CM, show deps. Show in main list. At the top you will have author Id, type etc. R/click on any, a drop down list will appear, make sure build number is ticked.
At the bottom you will have a slider thing so you can scroll across the page and view the build number of each asset.
Hope you understand this.
