No Cab view

Hi can anyone help I am using some DMU's but unable to use cab view, how can I find a cab file and how do I install it.

It would be helpful if you told us which ones are the problem. It is possible that the creator has not provided an a.cabfront attachment point so there can be no cab view [unless you can use GMax, understand how to add extra meshes to the config file and have 2004 or later].

Thanks for your reply John, I am using TS09 and the DMU's are BR Class 121 and 117 however I have now downloaded a Class 159 with a cab view is it possible to use that cab file for all DMU's.

Start CMP2, look for class 159 and right click>Edit in Explorer. Open class 159's config file and look for a line like this in the first paragraph:

interior <kuidx:xxxxx:xxxxx:x>

Copy the kuid number only, now search for your train without the cabview and open for edit in explorer as well. Open the config file, and replace whatever kuid is in the interior line with whatever you just copied. Commit both and you're good to go. The pointy brackets must surround the kuid.

I forgot to add previously; replace the original kuid with the one from Class 159 in the kuid table as well to prevent CMP from reporting the locomotive as faulty or missing dependencies. It's okay to skip this step but I personally don't to maintain the integrity of my content (so that those that really have errors don't get mixed up).

I will try that, at the moment I have to reinstall the game after installing sp2 last night it completely crashed.
