I posted a thread on this, I would like to hear any feedback on this.......

Original Post..........

"Hi everyone
I have been building this layout based on 'Tinsley Marshaling Yard', I have spent a lot of work on this over a 9 month period.

I was wondering if someone out there would like to finish off this project, it used to be the largest marshaling yard in Europe, completed in 1965 and opened by 'Doctor Beeching', it has so much potential and would be a good asset as a 'addon' to your layout.

Please follow this link and download the video......

Please email me if you would like to see some pics of what I've done so far (on Trainz),I have not yet mastered the building program on 'Railworks' yet, very complicated !!"

Firstly, remove your email address from your post - this is to protect you from spam. Users can visit your profile and use the 'email member' option.

Sounds an interesting idea, but unfortunately I do not have the required skills to do so.

Its a shame when you have people out there that are 'Untrustworthy', thanks for your good advice.

Why?

Why don't you finish it yourself? You have already invested a lot of time and energy into the project.

Hello Angela
Many thanks for your kind reply, I haven't really got the time, because I have just moved today and have some projects I need to do. I Love Trainz, but need to get my act together and get off my PC for a while.

Tell me what you thought about the video ?

Kind Regards
Keit

Why not upload it to the DLS and state that it's not finished but that you happy for folks to finish it or to utilize it as part of a bigger route as long as they acknowledge the original author ?

Good Idea

Thanks for your reply, I don't really know how to upload this, you have the saved files in "Local", but how do you find the 'Route' without 'Uploading' all the files !!??

Regards
Keith

Just save the route to a CDP file in CMP. Then upload the CDP. Go to Profile above, login, select Your Content. Then click the Upload Content button in the middle of the screen, then select the Standard Upload option.

Hello daviday,

The video was very interesting to watch and I could possibly do this yard for you. What year would like it done in and could you include the maps in with it? I wouldn't be able to do the buildings yet though as I am still trying to get the hang of Blender. Drop me a PM and we can talk. But as of now I will be leaving for vacation to Colorado, USA today and will not be back at home until the 17th of July. Send me some pictures of your route so far, my e-mail is in my profile.

Cheers,

Thank you for taking an interest in this, I will email you tomorrow and send you the pics. I just looked at the 'Video' footage many times and build the layout up around what I could see.
I have checked for a track plan on the internet, but no joy !

Its like where my father worked in Scotland, railway wagon repair works, no plans , all gone in the archives collecting dust somewhere !!

I will be in touch soon :)
Many thanks
Keith
