Hi everyone just wondering if anyone has come across this problem before turned on the computer to have this happen

No amd graphics driver installed or is not functioning properly. Please install the appropriate driver for your amd software"

Have tried checking for updates but up to date and have manually installed new drivers with no luck.

I have seen this before when a GPU or video card has failed. The end result was the video card defaulted to VGA graphics (640 x 480 or 1024 x 768) and was unable to load up the regular drivers.

There are multiple causes for this message including a poorly seated video card, loose power connectors, even a bad power supply or one that's not quite providing enough power to the GPU. So before you go panic and replace your video card, check these other options first. It maybe the cheaper things causing what could be an expensive problem!

Can also be caused by allowing Windows update to install a graphics driver, cure for that is a complete removal of all graphics drivers and the install the correct driver from AMD or the manufacturer if it's a laptop or all in one. Complete removal required as Windows update can screw things up so just reinstalling the driver doesn't work.

True, but this hasn't been an issue with the more current versions of Windows. I too have seen it with XP and Vista, but not Windows 7 and up.
