As most northeast USA railfans have heard, NJT is activating the Lackawanna Cut-off from Hoboken to Scranton, PA. By the end of 2011 or early 2012, service will start going to Andover, then later in 2012/2013, service to Scranton-Hoboken runs will start.
HOWEVER, possibly when Andover opens, these stations will shut down:
Netcong
Mount Olive
Hackettstown
If these stations don't close when Andover opens, then most likely when Scranton opens, then Netcong, Mount Olive, and Hackettstown will shut down.

I don't know any confirmations on the abandonments, but just alerting everyone who wants to railfan at those three stations.
