Newest update to Trainz+ failed!

Went through it twice and failed twice. Nothing said other than it failed and was rolling back. Now what?

Are you using the TRS22 version or the TRS22 Plus version? As a Plus user, you need to have the correct version installed. No update for TRS22, only the beta update for TRS22 Plus.

Just tried for the third time: no good. Patch failed: unable to apply patches for C:\Program Files\N3VGames\TrainzRailroadSimulator2022\resources\builtin\985.tzarc

Is your plus install one that originally was a 19>22>plus migration? If so then I think you may to install a new Plus version from MyTrinz account. Keep your userdata folder and point the new install to it. I would also keep the one you have or have a backup in case things go bad...

I do not believe that it was. As I recall, I installed 22+ and then deleted 19.

But Plus is now a separate download than '22. On my MyTrainz account it's the bottom item under PRODUCT downloads.

It's more likely failed because the files it's trying to patch are corrupted or have been edited! so the CRC doesn't match. Could be as simple as a builtin being locally modified or open for edit.

I'd suggest checking the disk for any errors and if that's OK running a full database repair, hold down Ctrl while clicking rebuild database, before trying to update.

That is exactly what it was....I ran an extended repair and it finally installed after d-l'ing 9.7G for the 4th time today! It is odd though....I almost always do an extended DBR as a matter of habit and I know that I did it yesterday. Nothing was downloaded after that and the only thing that I did was to work on a layout that I am building. I didn't get to do a repair today because the option to install the update popped up first.
