Newbie question on signal spot lights

Is there a link or simple explanation that would explain the 1, 2, ans 3 high spot signal lights meaning? Just starting to play the simulator. I have gone thru Tutorials 1-3 in TS2010 and now on tutorial 4. The signal lights are a little confusing to me at the present.

There's a section (4.5 on page 38) of the TS12 Manual on signals. Look in your Trainz install folder (..\Extras\Documentation) for the manual. That takes you through the basics pretty fast.
