newbie-how to place a loco on track in quick drive mode

migrated from MSTS and still trying to figure things out.

trying to take a quick drive on a route and none of the freight consists in the default list have a locomotive. what is the secret to accessing a consist with a loco or adding one to it.

just want to quick drive a route outside of a session but can't figure out how to put a freight consist on the track that has a locomotive.

In surveyor, click on the locomotive wheel in the right hand menu. Pick a locomotive from the menu that opens and then click on a section of track to place your choice and save. Then click on the quick drive button and you are good to go.

thanks--i will follow your "dummies" guide and let you know if any questions. by the way, i have always enjoyed your excellent work in MSTS and one of the first downloads i did for Trainz was port ogden.

Just to clear up any possible confusion, the Trainz version of Port Ogden & Northern was based on my MSTS version, but it was all Phil Skene's work. For switching/way freight/short haul fanatics all routes by philskene are excellent.
