New version of TS for PC??

It seems a long time since TS12 was released, and there hasn't been anything on development of a new product for the Windows platform. It appears to me that the trend is going mobile and tablet. Can we expect anything new to be heading down the PC track anytime soon?

Sheesh. Of course it isn't. How can they give up their biggest (by far) market? Sounds like something Microsoft would do actually

I think Chris (WindWalkr) or someone from N3V said as much around a couple of months ago, thank goodness N3V is not Microsoft!

I think that promised service pack is what everyone is waiting for at present.

Don't count on them to announce it anytime soon, because as soon as they announce TS13 or TS14, the sales for TS12 instantly go down the drain.

Jacksonbarno is completly right. Not only what he said, but think of all the assets ( Freeware and Payware ) that would have to be upgraded to new standards.

Wrong an all counts. Assets for TS12 will work in a future version and old assets, not built-ins, should be upgraded in any event.

Additionally, those working on future versions cannot disclose what they are doing. N3V could publish upgrade progress, but, sensibly, they don't do this in most cases.

Although I was curious, I'm not going to get excited about a new version of TS, let alone a patch, as all previous upgrades have been rather disappointing. I am continuously hoping that N3V will come up with a completely new game engine, giving us better performance, better sounds, real (ie; moving) switches (not to belittle Andi06's switches), and yes; tunnels that can be laid at any angle, and don't "leak" when it rains or snows!; generally, a more realistic simulation. With processor power getting better with each generation, I don't see an issue with increasing system requirements for the next version.
For example; to require a multiple core processor. Or perhaps, different levels of realism based on your computer's specs. For example; World of Subways presents a choice of installation based on computer performance.
