After searching the forum and finding nothing, I am asking if this has popped up before and could you point me in the right direction or, if not, WTF???
So, I'm importing my backed up .cdp's into my new TS2010 with minimal difficulty. Even the texture replacements with the PEVsoft program works fabulous. Kudos to that person! Then, for some reason I connect to the internet while having TS2010 up and running. This is not normal operation for me. I save all my content via FTP so that every piece has it's own file in storage...
Anywho, I let it run, figure let's see how the new version will work on my 56k connection. Turns out not too bad, so I let it run and update the database listing. Still, not too bad nor too long a process.
Then I hit a snag. See, I had a texture created by Ian Manion (Vulcan):
kuid:60238:21000 I had renamed to Texture Dam Concrete...
When TS updated the listing, it showed a new version available, however the new version:
Brick Road Texture kuid2:60238:21000:1 is NOT even close to the same thing. (Bricks being different than concrete...)
Then another by Ismael Morales (ish6):
Auran Power Plant 58223,<kuid:58223:27296> has a new version available but:
Inter Urban Metro Line Hq,<kuid2:58223:27296:1> is NOT even the same building.
Now, I know you content creators work hard, and I do applaud your efforts. These same efforts can be seen in the thousands of Routes the community members have built. It will be, however, difficult to maintain realism if the factory placed in the route magically changes to a skyscraper...
