New Trainz 2010 install. Need recommendation about patching

I have installed Trainz 2010 build 42203 last night on a blazingly fast Azus with the intel i7 and Windows 7 64 bit, and an NVIDEA GeForce GTX 260 Video card.

It runs perfectly. Even the gigantic Murchison II add-on I bought for it runs nice and smooth. I have read about some here who have had problems after patching and my previous experience with a few earlier versions of Trainz has taught me how fussy this program can be.

So my question is, with build 42203 should I patch or not and what might I be missing or problems might I have if I do not patch to the 44088. I really hate to patch it and risk something going wrong when it is running fine. But I rely on you experts to set me straight.

but there will be some routes that will not be playable, unless he patches to 4088,,,, just make a back up of your trainz before you patch.....

Assuming you have plenty space on your blazingly fast new rig why not install it again in a new folder and patch the new copy. If all is well delete the original, if you don't like the results of the patch delete the copy.

Patching a new install goes faster anyway because the EDR has less content to look at...
