New To Trainz, Need Help!

Ok I just got TRS2006 and 2004, Ultimate Trainz and Paintshop and I wanted to download a few things from DLS. I download the entier Subway Construction package and a few subway car but when I started it up, I couldnt find any of my subway cars or construction tracks or anything. Is there something I'm doing wrong.

How did you download (ftp, DLS or CMP download helper)?

Are you downloading these into TRS2006? If you downloaded them sucessfully, they should show up in the Today window if downloaded today.
Other wise they'll show up in the Installed window.
If they are there, they need to be committed. Right click on the asset, highlight Edit and then highlight Commit. Then when you launch Trainz, they should show up in Surveyor.
There is a way to automatically Commit the assets when launching TRS2006 by going to File in the upper left hand corner, Settings, Miscellanous and there's an option there to automatically Commit when launching Trainz.

When trying to find problems in TRS2004, there's a program called TrainzObjectz which can be downloaded from here.

It's at the bottom of the page. There's a learning curve to it, at least there was for me, but it's great for troubleshooting.
