You can find many, many assets including those by pagroove on the Download Station, or as we call it the DLS. The DLS is accessed through the Launcher when you start TRS2019 via the Manage Content button. Note, the button is called Manage Content, but the application is called Content Manager. For other Japanese train assets, buildings, and cars other authors to look for are Hirochi and keimei whose content is also on the DLS. Just like the rest of the program there are tons, and tons of options.
Before you get into downloading a lot of content, it's best you get to know your new friend called Content Manager a bit more intimately. He/she will be with you forever as you use this program. When you open up Content Manager by clicking on Manage Content, you'll be presented with a grid of assets. There are columns for various things that can be sorted on ranging from status through upload date. By default, not all of these are shown and it's recommend that you enable them all by right-clicking on one of the columns and then clicking on each of the items not checked already. You have to unfortunately repeat this step for each one. Once enabled, you can then arrange them in any order you wish and also adjust the width of them to fit your screen.
Once that's done, we can do other things...
To find specific content on the Download Station, there are two ways to go about it.
1) Where it says Installed, you can scroll that window and change to Download station.
In the search field, not specifically marked as such in the upper right corner, you can type the asset you are looking for. This can be hit or miss, depending upon the subject and has to be quite specific.
To download, right-click on an asset and choose download.
2) To search for a specific item, such as those by a specific author, click on the small arrow on the left pointing to Filter.
The arrow will point downwards and this will open up the filter where you can then add in other search items such as On Download station by scrolling through the list.
To add to this, click on the + sign on the far right.
This will add in a small line item below. You can scroll that to author.
Type in pagroove and that will give you a lot of assets by him including his Japanese route.
When you download a route, most of the dependencies will be downloaded at the same time. This can take some time depending upon the amount of assets. There are cases, however, where things are missing and we can assist you with finding the missing parts.
There's one other thing to mention here regarding content that applies not only to the items on the DLS, but also to those installed and any content you create yourself.
Assets are assigned and ID number called a KUID, or Kewl User-ID. This is divided into 3 or 4 parts, depending up on the era the assets came from.
All asset IDs begin with KUID or KUID2, followed by an Author-ID, then by the asset-id, and version for KUID2 assets.
Example: <kuid:124863:101302>, or <kuid2:124863:101301:1> (made up numbers using my UID).
I know this is a bit daunting, but hopefully this will get you in the right direction. There's lots, and lots to do with this program including making your own routes. That aspect alone is subject of many other topics.
With all that's been said here, feel free to ask as many questions as you wish. We're not closed to asking questions and we'll all jump in and answer them the best we can.
Welcome to Trainz.
