I am not a fan of this new Thomas series, I do prefer the old shows on a real model railway route, just wondering though... I wonder what ever happened to that old model railway route that Thomas was filmed on.?.
We could all club together, and buy the old route, and make our own Thomas series, and call it something new like, Ivor the Engine...:hehe:

I believe (and anyone can set me straight on the correct answer) but everything: models, layouts, scenery, etc went to a museum. Thats just what I read somewhere. (sorry but no link)

Now correct me if I'm wrong, as I haven't seen anything of the TVS for ages, but Henry was originally designed merely as a smaller engine than Gordon. A picture from "The Flying Kipper" even shows him having a trailing wheel. The problem was that his firebox was too small, which was a major reason for his rebuild.1 henry is a black 5 which was a very usefull british steam loco yet henry is a exstremly weak locomotive in the series?
I preferred Thomas when it was models on a layout too. And when Henry wasn't weak, and Edward wasn't an old fart, and when Toby was old and wise, not old and shy. And when the only words Percy didn't know were ones like 'deputation', which I doubt some adults know.
Now it's all CGI, the engines are all weak and dumb. And now almost all classic shows are CGI. Bob the Builder, Fireman Sam, Sesame Street, even Bananas in Pyjamas is CGI now!
PRRE6, there's still a US and a UK version like there always was, and I prefer the UK version as I find listening to US voices annoying. And I'm glad my girlfriend IS from the UK.
Kieran.
It's all a matter of where you come from.I always preferred the US version, as I found the UK voices, particularly the narrators, too dull and grim, like the weather!![]()
