New Thomas and Friends?!

have one question: What the hell is this? That is G-A-Y!!! Where is the old TTTE? And what is up with that Brittish guy? Some Brittish guy for every charecter? I knew that things were different over seas but... God I am glad I don't have a girlfriend from over there. :hehe:

Yea, I'm on the same page. The old one was just so much better, when they had the spectacular wrecks and good storylines. Now it isn't the same.

I read somewhere that when parents started complaining, Hit decided to make TTTE a show to give kids common sence lessons like ever other kids show.

I am not a fan of this new Thomas series, I do prefer the old shows on a real model railway route, just wondering though... I wonder what ever happened to that old model railway route that Thomas was filmed on.?.

We could all club together, and buy the old route, and make our own Thomas series, and call it something new like, Ivor the Engine...:hehe:

Or it could be Tom the Tank Engine, Toby would be Timmy; Gordon: Richard; Henry:Randy, stuff like that! OR you could ignore my ideas and carry on!

I believe (and anyone can set me straight on the correct answer) but everything: models, layouts, scenery, etc went to a museum. Thats just what I read somewhere. (sorry but no link)

Thank you Matt for your reply, I hope it did go to a museum, it would be such a shame if it was dismantled and left in a disused garage somewhere.

1 henry is a black 5 which was a very usefull british steam loco yet henry is a exstremly weak locomotive in the series?
Now correct me if I'm wrong, as I haven't seen anything of the TVS for ages, but Henry was originally designed merely as a smaller engine than Gordon. A picture from "The Flying Kipper" even shows him having a trailing wheel. The problem was that his firebox was too small, which was a major reason for his rebuild.
After he was rebuilt, however, it was a different story(at least in the books). He could pull much better, and was even allowed to pull the Wild Nor'Wester! In "Super Rescue" he pulled a dead class 40 and helped Bear(though this wasn't as hard because Bear merely had a failed ejector). That doesn't say "weak" to me.

I have about 20 episodes on VHS. oh that reminds me. I want to check on netflix streaming to see if they have it. But seriously is every good tv show from my childhood ruined? Let's see Thomas the tank engine, sesame street, (it's just retarted that big bird has to wear pants). What is wrong with the world today?

I preferred Thomas when it was models on a layout too. And when Henry wasn't weak, and Edward wasn't an old fart, and when Toby was old and wise, not old and shy. And when the only words Percy didn't know were ones like 'deputation', which I doubt some adults know.

Now it's all CGI, the engines are all weak and dumb. And now almost all classic shows are CGI. Bob the Builder, Fireman Sam, Sesame Street, even Bananas in Pyjamas is CGI now!

PRRE6, there's still a US and a UK version like there always was, and I prefer the UK version as I find listening to US voices annoying. And I'm glad my girlfriend IS from the UK. :)

Kieran.

I miss Duck and the Scottish Twins they were my favorites:(
Good news is the Writing is getting better. Hit now has a new head writer so we may so old favs return like Duck and the others and maybe the Aresdale and Culdee fell railways will be adapted into the show!;)

I always preferred the US version, as I found the UK voices, particularly the narrators, too dull and grim, like the weather!:p
