Nope. Not hard at all. How much are you going to chip in to fund it? My web site runs about $45 a year depending on what I have on it.

The hosting of multiple servers is not the costly part. What will cost is the mirroring of the data. This overhead costs money since so much data has to be constantly moved between the different mirrored servers.

It's a great idea though.

True, Steve, but your FCT fee only went to the server in Oz. FCT fees will always go to Oz. Your proposal for a server in each country won't get funded by FCT's.

well bill you no id pay a bit more for trainz $10.00 to get a better server happening so that people could download ,i myself have had no trouble at all in downloading anything ,maybe im just lucky,really i dont think i have had any trouble at all after resetting password 24/7

The DLS servers are hosted in the US. The FCT cash goes into Auran's pocket, the same pocket that pays for both the US servers.

I have been reading posts about the DLS and I see the situation as follows.

You want free access? It is there, free, just as Auran promised, but you have to scrabble for it on a 'first come best dressed' principle. Because access is free you have no basis to blame Auran. They have provided a server full of free content.

You want easy and almost guaranteed access, then buy an FCT and you get a first class ride to the DLS.

The constant whingeing is becoming tiresome.

True but the gimme attitude is deeply ingrained in some parts of society. Want everything and not pay for it or have someone else pay for it.:hehe:

There you have it, one of the many 3rd party sites. There's no free lunch and if you want something you have to pay for it one way or the other, either in time waiting for a connection, in direct contribution or by piggybacking on others who help pay the freight.

i don't mined paying my way or my share to make something that i believe is a far better game to play ,yes there are people who want everything for nothing that will never change ,and there are people out there who can't afford to pay more for many reasons so lets not bicker about who wants what for nothing lets try to make it better for all
