New guy having a problem with a session on the "Milwaukee Road - Avery Drexel"

Hey everybody. I'm a new guy to the forums and did try searching for an answer, but didn't find the problem I'm having listed anywhere in the forums. I have a gold subscription with Trainz Plus (so using Trainz 2022) and have been exploring the various routes. I came upon the "Milwaukee Road - Avery Drexel" route and was running the sessions it has. I got to the one titled, "Northern Pacific's Lookout Pass Line (summer time)" and keep having it come to a quick end. It happens after coupling to the cars at the Lucky Friday Mine. I start out from there and not long after continuing up the main I get a message that I "failed to proceed to Haugan" and the session terminates. I tried looking at the session in Surveyor, but being that I am only just starting to get my toe wet in that department, I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong. Has anyone had this problem, or am I being completely dumb over something I overlooked. Would sure be grateful for any assistance. I've been running all the train sims since MSTS and decided to give Trainz Plus a try, so I'm not new to train simming, just to Trainz. Take care everyone and, once again, thanks!

That is one I need to try, but could it be a switching problem? After coupling up it looks like you would proceed east on the main line alongside Interstate 90 from the Lucky Friday Mine to Haugan, Montana? You mention that you are continuing up the main, so it sounds like you are headed east? No switches set against you up ahead?

Are there time limits assigned to driving or performing tasks?

Maybe you are taking too long.

I don't have this route or session in 22, but I had the route in an older version of Trainz.

I am also curious about which side of the river you ended up on? I believe NP uses the south side and MILW the north? So maybe if you ended up on the wrong side? I will try to get to this session this week, but schedule is busy. I also wonder if the scripting has been affected in the new versions of Trainz

The same here for TS19:

And in general, I managed to complete only one of the four sessions: MILW - Transcontinental Westbound Freight Train (summer time)
In the other three, including the aforementioned session, an unpredictable errors occurs.

Hey guys! Wow! Thanks for the quick responses!!

Forester1: Yes, you start at Mullan and head East towered the Mine. I checked the line ahead, and it is single track for a long way. The first junction you come to is locked by the session and cannot be changed. I never reach the first horseshoe curve which takes you to the other side of the river, so it remains on my right. I am not even able to get up to half the speed limit after hooking up to the cars at Lucky Friday Mine before I get the failure message so it's just minutes after beginning and Haugan is still a long way off.

rgcx: That was the first thing I thought of... that there must be some kind of time limit, but no matter how fast I can get the train to go after hooking up to the cars at the mine (which is about half track speed) the session ends with the failure response.

oldman777: I'm glad to see someone else could not finish this one! Like you, I went on to try the other three sessions as well and got the same results you did. Each failed with the only exception being the Transcontinental Westbound Freight (summer time). I was able to finish that one with no errors or fails.

Thanks again everyone! Hope you might find some kind of fix for the problem, but until then... I'll take on another route! Have a great night all!

If your eastbound session failed at a red signal just out of the tunnel at the summit, I ran into that a while back, and someone tipped me to jump into the oncoming train on the siding ahead and drive it until it clears the switch behind it. Then you can stop that train, set the switch for the mainline, jump back to the original train and proceed to finish the session. That is the only session I have tried to date, so I am curious if there are some puzzles like that in the other sessions, but error messages kind of indicate there is something else going on.

I also downloaded several sessions for this route from DLS, these are later versions than the built-in ones and finished almost all of these without errors:
