New Aircraft

Many of those peak my interest.
Can do the WestJet (737-700), The Air Canada 727 (Haven't reskined a 727 yet:o ) and the Canadian 737. Can also do an Air Transat if you wish (767 on behalf of an A310).

Fabulous! Anything you crank out I will definitely download and use!

All I can say is that it's a great time to be a trainzer. ^^

Will get on to it today.

As it seems to be the norm every time I try and upload, the DLS is playing up again. Hopefully the reskins will be available soon.

:udrool::mop: Those look great! Thank you for making them. I've noticed that the DLS has been a bit slow lately myself (and I use an FCT). I get to thinking it must be totally unusable for those without one...

Again, thanks for making those reskins. You cranked those out pretty fast!

These airlines also came to mind (in case you were really bored). I'm sure they have/had flights to Saint Maarten as well:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aeroméxico
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sunwing_Airlines
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CanJet

Also, if you do get around to the Canadian one, could you consider these variants too?

From what I can see, they are similar in many ways, except for the tail or the front ribbon, which might be a bit thicker.

Again, no pressure! I'm already super grateful for the reskins you have made. :) Great job on the stuff you have made! :) Looking forward to them hitting the DLS (and anything else you upload).

Hi Guys,

Great shotz -- you guys got me motivated to upload my airport stuff, etc! Need to updated them to 2.7, tho -- I'll that this week!

Again, excellent airport route!!!

Ian, dear friend, thank you for your excellent detail creations!!!

Hi Guys,

Below are screen shotz from my airport module to showcase my creations -- a new airport terminal, hangers, runway, which are accurate to the real world, and runway numbers, parking lot etc ... I will upload these pieces this week -- the airport will be night modded as well! I also did some fictional airlines -- a very special thank to Ben for his original creations!

Hello Gentlemen,

Thanks for the kind words!

I got up at 5am before my toddlers get up, and updated the config file for version 2.7 as it's required, and I've send 12 items to the DLS (that's as far as I got since they just got up) -- Next update would be when the items are there, ready to download!

Great shotz guys on your airports routes --- well done, indeed!

Ishie

PS. screenshots of these items can be found here:

(didn't wanted to crowd this thread with these screenshots!)

Hi Nzms,

thanks and great shotz there -- down in the virgin islands there's an island where the beach is just a couple of hundred feet from the runway -- beach goers can literally touch the bottom of the airplane -- I saw that on the Travel channel, etc -- your screen shot remind of that!

Hey Ish!

I do believe that is Saint Maarten Airport (that NZMS is working on).

So he's modelling it quite well as you can see. ;)

Hi gisa, dear friend!!!

Yeah, that's it -- that's very cool video there!!!

Yeah, him and a few others have been doing a superb job, so it's why I am throwing myself into the ring, and finally uploading my airport contents! When I saw Ian work, and aw folks motivated about it, it kind of motivated me to revisit this subject! :D

You take care now, ok!

PS - read your pm. LOL

Hi flying trainzers!

Thank you Nzms and Ish6 for your creations. I appreciate very much.

I am now finishing two new reskins:

Great looking skins and so fast!

Thanks for the nice comments everyone. :)
On a good weekend I can usally reskin 2 or 3 planes.

Another one for the collection

Craig might also find this one useful as CanJet is a regular at Orlando airport.

Pascal, those reskins look great!

Fabulous! :) You can rest assured these planes will find their way into my route for sure!

I went to see if the skins made it to the DLS last night and realized that literally nothing had been uploaded on the weekend. Maybe that's why there was some trouble for you to upload them? Either way, I'll be one of the first to get these reskins once they hit the DLS.

Again, thank you so much for them. That was very kind of you!

A whole fleet of these skins would be like winning the lottery for me :o:hehe: but I'm very content with just one plane each. There's only one more airline I forgot to mention that might make for a good skin (that is, if you are keen and all). It's CP Air (the precursor to Canadian Airlines I believe). Perhaps you know that CP started out as a railroad company and to this day is a class 1 North American railroad (one of the big 8)? They sold their airline assets back in the 80's? though...

http://www.airplane-pictures.net/images/uploaded-images/2006-11/13/1593.jpg

Plane type does not matter to me although I must confess I have a soft spot for 747s. I love the grey steel tone, the orange, and the CP logo of course, but that's just me.

There is some great reference material here if you are up for another model or two:
http://cpair.blogspot.com/2007/03/cp-air-memorabilia.html

I noticed at that link there is some memorabilia that says "orange is beautiful". For some reason, I can't help but agree. :)

No rush and no pressure: feel free to decline if you are too busy or if it is not your thing. I'm not sure what era you are modelling your airport, but you could have some fun by doing older models too I suppose? For my route that I can never seem to get around to, the beauty will be that one could go back to almost 30 years and see that not all much has changed track wise or scenery wise (and a CP Air 747 would feel right at home there).

Thanks again for everything: you've given me that little nudge to keep working on my route (and like all large routes, one needs nudges here and there to push on).

Gisa ^^

Gisa,

I started today a CP Air 747.
It may take some time, because I am not very happy with the red color.
I need to find more detailed pics than those I already have.

Interesting livery anyway.

If Pascal is doing the 747, are there any others that you would like? CP Air also operated the DC-10, 727, 737 and 767 to name a few.

Maybe not the top prize but how about Second Devsion? :hehe:

Awesome! I look forward to it! I really like that paint scheme for some reason but there are plenty of good looking one's all around. I noticed that pics are rare though so by all means take your time...I have several other reskins of yours which are great. :)

Of course, anything you reskin, I'll be happy to use. Different airplane versions of the skins you've put out would be great too, but that's honestly a LOT of work. Just know that anything you make I'll use though. :)

I realize now, that in my route that I'm working on, there are really two international airports (Dorval and Mirabel) although the latter only does cargo now (although it did international flights in the past). There are some other airline liveries I could *fudge* as heading to Dorval now. I guess that's part of the beauty of any simulation right?

I would love to see some Asian airline skins too. I know several exist, but I'm sure most of you would agree with me in that Asia is generally unrepresented in Trainz as a whole.

So I toss up yet another difficult gauntlet for those who are interested: :hehe:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Korean_Air (there is a Korean A380 on the DLS, but they don't have this plane yet and the skin is somewhat inaccurate [it is missing the Korean font on the bottom front nose] ).
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japan_Airlines
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/China_Airlines
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Air_China
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Air_India
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cathay_Pacific
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pakistan_International_Airlines

I am at work, so it's quite possible there are a few of these already on the DLS. If so, just ignore me. :hehe:

Also, has anyone done a US Airways skin?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/US_Airways

NZMS, this latter one will appeal to you (there's a pic of one landing at Saint Maarten). I don't think this model exists yet but they do fly there.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Eagle_Airlines

This is a HUGE list and I don't expect anyone to do all (or even any) of these skins. Just thought I'd throw it out there as a sort of *what doesn't exist yet* list in general.

Great skins and great work everyone. I've said it once and I'll say it again: great time to be a train(plane)zer. :D
