New Aircraft

Hi all Planez (Trainz) lovers,

I would like all of you to know that Ian (Vulcan) lives in the flooded area of Graceville in Brisbane.

I talked to him this morning and he and his family are fine, he is still above the flood level.
If he does not respond to the forum it could be because of power cuts that have been done by Energex.

Where I am (Laidley area) all is clear, the township of Laidley was flooded and a clean-up is in progress.

Cheers,

Bill.

Thanks Bill, I was wondering about him but kept seeing his icon on Yahoo Messenger pop-up. While I do not think anyone is doing well in and around Brisbane at the moment, I thought he was out of the possible flood areas.

Good to hear your doing fine as well, hope you have enough beer to see you through these bad times :hehe:

Thanks for the update Bill, it is nice to know you and Ian are doing alright.
I have been watching this unfold on Sky News and it looks absolutely devestating. Although this is nothing compared to seeing it first hand, I would like to wish well to all the Trainzers/Planzers in Queensland and Northern NSW.

Arh Bill I heard that Forrest Hill was evacuated hope you are high and dry up on your hill which might be a island........yes it would be sad if under Ian's house gets flooded, so much stuff under there stay safe and dry!

I was wondering about Dreddman as well, great to hear from him. I even checked Google Earth to see if I could work out if he had any problems.

I couldn't work it out.

Hi,

Ian sent me a quick reply this morning too.
In addition to the previously conveyed info, he's taking the precaution of sandbagging around the house but doesn't expect it to become a problem, unless they get a heap of local rain. With the river so high, the 'local' suburban rainwater has nowhere to go!.

Dreddman Craig & I were wondering just yesterday how you were out there?.

Bill keep yer feet up!

Hi Guys, thanks for the kind thoughts, catching up with the emails now the power is back on.

We have been lucky, we are quite close to the river, and are about 1 metre or so above the flood levels. As mentioned, if it rains hard, as in 1974, the water can not get into the river from the stormwater system, and it then can back up into our lower ground floor (I had sandbags ready). :)

Fortunately it stopped raining before the river levels rose, so that has not happened.

Our thoughts are with those who now have clean up and rebuild, it is going to take a long time.

Thanks again for the many kind thoughts, phone calls and emails from friends asking about our situation.

Ian

Hi guys, especially those in Queensland,

Above Trainz, Planez and Carz, hope every of the trainzers is sound and safe down there.

My sympathy and best wishes for all the Aussies going through that disastrous situation.

Take care,

The draining and drying side of Alberte

Hi Ian,

Some excellent plane models you've got there - loving 'em. Unfortunately, I can't use the lockheed C5A, because it's missing an asset I can't find anywhere:

Unknown Location: <kuid2:60238:54026:1>

Would you happen to know what this is, and where I can get it?

Thanks! :)

Ian may not answer for a while due to floods in his area.

That item is on the DLS, you have it shown wrong and it should be kuid2:60238:54026:2. You will have no problems then.

Ah, I see. CMP must've tricked me then, because there was a "1" in the KUID instead of a "2".

I forgot to mention this in my last post, but best wishes Ian. :)
