Hi Guys, nice to see the pictures. Been doing other things, perhaps time for a few answers and updates:
1. My website has been exceeding its allowed bandwidth lately, and I have had to unlink some popular pages to try to reduce that, and rethink them, sorry, otherwise it will cost me big money.
2. I have been doing some models for NormP, he is modelling the Lukla airport in Nepal, so some buildings were called for. You may have seen the History channel program on it being one of the most dangerous airports in the world, with a gradient of 12% and no go around option.
In doing an airport terminal model, it requires tight turnarounds, I did release a yellow line model for painting on the bitumen, perhaps some of you are using it. The segment length is too large for tight curves so I have done a 2 metre module line which looks better, it is Airport Module 6a Small Yellow Line, just uploaded, probably won't be available for 24 hours.
To go with those models, I have redone the Twin Otter in Yeti airlines colours, not uploaded yet. It now has passengers, new animated props, and opening doors. The models for Lukla and Yeti have not been uploaded yet.
3. I have uploaded the Pilatus Porter models, two in Swiss colours, an Australian Army, and Yeti, which also uses them, they are short take off and landing aircraft, need to wait 24 hours for approval.
4. I was asked for a Piper Seneca, just have to do static models before I upload that one. It does rolls like the Tiger Moth, just for fun.
5. Matt, had not heard of the Saab aircraft, perhaps that can be added to the list.
6. teddytoot, I have not had any success in having an aircraft start with the engines off. While you can control the animation as you say, the sound is the problem. If you use a silent sound file for the first, in order to get the engines to start on the second sound file, the aircraft would have to be moving. There probably is a way but I have not looked into that in detail.
7. hyderpotter, of course you can do inflight refuelling, with the FA18 and Tomcat models, read the config file:
"The aircraft deploys a refueling probe to couple with the FA-18 fighters for simulated refueling. The KC-135 operates on the same track as other aircraft. Using the B key or Action Trigger setting 10, the tanker lifts above the track by 7 metres and deploys the probe.
The FA-18 approaching from the rear couples with the probe with its own refueling probe. A second trigger further along the track retracts the probe, and lowers the KC-135 back to track level. After you decouple the FA-18, the aircraft operate separately again. If you use the B key when the aircraft are coupled, the FA-18 fires missiles, it may shoot down the tanker - use the track trigger at setting 10 for best operation."
8. The C5A Galaxy is basically finished, a few checks to do when I get the time. It has front and rear opening doors, and drops a jeep by parachute. The landing gear is unusual, the main wheels rotate horizontally 90 degrees before retracting into the fuselage.
