Just finished tweaking the 747:

If it's okay with you Ian then I'll upload it to the DLS.

The United letter is a bit big and doesn't mess well. It also goes into the upper windows.

Take a look at this for reference:

Otherwise a beautiful model. I just think the United logo and lettering needs to be resized slightly, that's all.

You will find the texture for aircraft is mapped from each side, and the part that goes over the top and underneath is stretched. Each livery for my 747 aircraft for instance has slightly different mapping depending on the texture I made. You may need to move the name text for instance in your reskin so it is in the correct location, as RRsignal suggests. Try to place it relative to the original window positions.

Could I also ask that you place in the config description text a line like "reskin of the original vulcan model, used with permission" or something like that. This does a number of things - it acknowledges the original ownership, it says that it is reskinned, and you have permission to do so, which protects you. On the download station the only text visible is the description, not any license file of mine.

Otherwise I may get emails about any reskin changes or problems over which I have no control. As I mentioned above, changing the build to 3.2 for instances makes the icon0 come out as an error instead of a warning.

Recently, without permission, a user uploaded one of my models, no changes at all to the model or files, just a new build number of 3.2, why I do not know. It showed the icon0 error in the download. The problem was that by uploading he was virtually claiming the model as his original work. A number of users brought it to my attention. Auran have removed it from the DLS.

Thanks to both of you, and Ian I will add the line to the config. Does this look better?

EDIT: Ian, I just added the line. It's just above the kuid table.

Hello again,
The Air New Zealand Link gulfstream has been aproved during the night and is available for download.:D

PLEASE NOTE: For some reason it has adopted a differrent name and I can't change it so when searching look for:

Gulfstream G650 Kea Airways ZK-MAY OR <KUID:510748:1054>

nzms

P.S Can someone PM me once the have downloaded it (Just so I can check it has worked)

Downloads ok, looks good, and the night windows line up as well. :)

The file name is derived from the username tag in the config. I sometimes describe it by name in the description, so you should change that to match as well.

most of the people are animated

Airways Corporation has voted not to charge Ian any advertising due to services rendered.

Still fueling this plane, how big did you make those fuel tanks Ian ? :hehe:

Gordon

Gordon, after the huge cost to build the aircraft, mine are all grounded, I cannot afford to fill the fuel tanks, nor pay for advertising. :)

Ian

Ian's Qantas 737 is a bit large for a country town though I hope that may change soon as the Financial Crisis is over and Qantas can buy some smaller aircraft ..... hint :hehe:

Craig, will this suit??

The Jetstar A320 and the Kendell Gulfstream have been processed and are also available for download:
Gulfstream G650 Kendell or <KUID:510748:1046>
Airbus A320 Jetstar or <KUID:510748:1056>

Hi nzms/Ian & all,

Although I haven't been on the forums of late, due to my poor olde PC finally refusing to start, I am now.:D
Yes!, the new PC arrived safely on Wednesday just after lunch, & I'm going through a stiff learning curve. Big step-up from XP to Windows 7.
Have many days ahead of me; migrating across stuff & installing from scratch many programs. :):o:confused::eek::Y:

Unfortunately Craig 's turn to be out of action for a bit. Well for the next few days I guess.
If anyone has any need to contact him, I am able to perhaps pass on messages, but really just fairly urgent stuff.:)

nzms that aircraft looks amazing!.

Showing some recognition to Aircraft, Ship, & Millitary asset creators

Very Nice !
I have seen so mant receint assets with Tanks, Helicopters, Fighters, Bombers, Warships, Submarine ... These are absolutely fantastic, as it brings Trainz into a whole new realm of animated non-train assets. Like having MS Flight Simulator in Trainz:cool:

Vulcan
Whecsailor
Pencil42
Alien3
...Etc...Etc...

Are amongst some of the greatest creators ... and there are other creators that are equally fantastic ... but my memory is failing me now (sometimes I think I got Ol'Timers).

SR-72 Blackbird & B-52 ...the list goes on ... and on ... and on ...

Thank You, ALL !

How about a drivable SaturnV Rocket, or Gemini Rocket ?:D

I hope yes because then you have to make Black-Hawks and Chinooks:hehe:

And one more
When are you going to update your website??

CascadeRailroad, what about Willem2?? The one who created most of the hangars and extensions for an airport

And one more thing
Ian can you make any of these?? (Just kidding if you didn't realise)
