You are quite right Bruce, you see many reference to Boeing B24 as well as Consolidated, but Consolidated built it. The B24 was uploaded again because I had inadvertently used a script command to correct some issues, but it was not available till TS2009, not very helpful for TRS2006 users.![]()
Ian
how about the M1 Abrams as locomotives?
Hi Ian,
Many thanks for the explanation. Hope you don't think I was being a know-all, it was my own knowledge I was querying. Wondered if Boeing had built some under licence or summit! I was working on the principle, 'If you don't ask, you don't find out'.![]()
Regards Bruce
The aircraft will work with a portal, I have tested them between portals, an automatic operation if you will.
You do need to place enough signalled track, with speed signs, to make sure they do not interfere with each other. If the track is too short between portals, they will never get up to speed to retract the landing gear. A problem is that the portal cannot be raised from the ground level. If you put it on a mountain I suppose the aircraft would emerge already flying!
Updated airport model has been approved.
Ian
Thanks Gordon, that sounds good.
I haven't used any portals before, but someone asked if the aircraft would use one, so I had to test it out. I thought it could be used to generates AI aircraft to fly around in the background, and that is so.
As the aircraft have a partial load when placed or when created by a portal, this makes them useful to generate incoming traffic to an airport I would think. You would need to spaces them out a bit. I suppose you then need some air traffic controllers.
I have uploaded the A380s, nit approved yet.
Ian
Hey Gordon, that layout is really confusing, but I downloaded most of the assets and it works now
Jamie
Ghosty thanks for the build codes/explanation on the B24s.
Gordon thanks for the advice re-elevated portals too.
Wow the Wellington Airport & surrounds are looking great!.
I have a cousin who lived right across the harbour from the airport at KoroKoro; up near the top of the ridge. She used to have a weatherboard two-bedroom bungalow with a small sunroom with bay window. Being on a steep slope, she had this amazing 180 degree view. You could watch the ferries coming to & fro, see aircraft disappear or appear from behind the hillock near the airport, see the city lights & hills.
Totally awesome view, especially at night.
Ian once again thank you so much for all the extra work your doing, on your squadron etc.
