New Aircraft

Hi Rob, I hope your C-17 has a strong headwind, I've only just placed in the baseboards for Christchurch International.

Had an Emirates A380 land there on the weekend, was diverted from Auckland due to fog, there is talk of extending Ohakea Air Force Base to take the A380 just in case Christchurch if fogged in. Ohakea is a standby for all 747 operations but due to having no customs etc....., if your 747 is diverted to Ohakea you have to stay on the plain until your destination is clear for landing.

Guys

I have been following this thread for some time and although trains are my prime interest, the models in this thread are, without exception, more beautiful than any train can be. Seeing aircraft like this makes it possible to see how the prototype has progressed from the original clumsy efforts to the streamlined marvels of today.

Despite some comments I have seen, your efforts have a rightful place in Trainz, which I believe should really be considered as a 'World Transport Simulator'

I look forward to seeing more of your creations.

Peter

Nice pictures and story Rob, it shows that we can have some fun by exploiting the possibilities of the Trainz platform. By expanding the models, perhaps we can help keep the Trainz franchise alive.

Gordon, nice to see your continuing interest. Looks like Christchurch is still a bit "flattened" after the earthquakes. :)

Thanks Peter for your kind comments and interest in Trainz for so long, appreciated.

Guys, I have updated some of the aircraft as Rob mentioned, we had a few issues with wrong files included, so you may have noticed some new versions appearing one after the other. The C-17 is now available, minor changes, the CRJ200 update has been approved (the wrong script was include, so the door did not operate before) thanks to the eagle eye of Rob.

The next aircraft will be the ATR42 and ATR72, small commercial prop jets, Pascal asked for these, they are in extensive use, should be uploaded soon. The 42 is in CZECH Skyteam colours and the longer 72 is in Virgin Australia Regional (Skywest) colours.

I have tried to improve these with simple interiors front and back, opening rear door, visible passengers, night lights and the usual animations. See my webpage or the config description for details on trigger use.

Looks great Vulcan!

I've also been messing around with airplane making:

XD. Who can resist flying around a paper airplane?

Edit: It comes with a prototypical crash too! I ran it off my test track and it went a flopping for half a mile before derailment cleanup got it. I swear it's one of the funniest things you'll ever see. I can't stop laughing!!!!!:hehe:

Hi All,

5 new additions to the Wellington Airport.

The front building is still a work in progress but the other 4 are ready for upload. (just uploaded)

Cheers,

Bill.

The above 4 sheds are available from the DLS.
Listed as: Airport Shed 1 Wellington, 2, 3, and 4 of course.
Number 5 should be available after the week-end.

Cheers,

Bill.

Since you're on the subject of airport buildings....
I'm currently up to my neck in virtual aircraft paint and have little time for my own Vancouver project.
The terminal buildings have been a challenge with what's available at the moment. I have something that works, but it isn't pretty by any stretch. The regional (low level) buildings have been the biggest headache.

It would be great if someone could build me the Vancouver International Airport terminal building (please please please). I realize it's a bit more work than the Wellington buildings, but I thought I'd ask anyway.
There is a model in 3D Warehouse but I'm not sure whether it's suitable.

Request - 1

Hey trainzers! This post is for Vulcan. I was wondering if you have any McDonnel Douglas F-15 Eagle Models Available soon. It would be a great addition to my military aircraft Base i am working on. Even a static one would be great. Too comment, great job on the Lockheed Martin F/A-22 raptor, good depitction. Thats the ONLY stealth ANYTHING on trainz. A Lockheed Martin/Boeing F-35 Lighting II (the product of the Joint Strike FIghter Program) would be my FAVOURITE model if u made one.

Peace Off -BOOOP:cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool:

I know a F-35 is on his list, a F-15 would be very nice as well. I'd give one a shot except I already have a few thousand unfinished projects on my plate and in terms of aircraft I don't see myself making it much further than the paper airplane.

Hey Rob,

I've found the model on 3d warehouse, so i'll port it over for trainz so you can play with it. PM me your email.

Gordon

installed - needs work by someone better than me, have converted to 3ds and I have the tower as well.

Another Request

How about the EA-64 Intruder. I need one for the USS Nimitz Route I am doing. The "H" Key could drop bombs and the "B" key could fire missiles. The "V" Key could cause it to flare on landing.

I'm sure it is on Ian's very long list of projects to do, check out his site for the list of key commands http://www.ianztrainz.com/ which he has set up to make it easier for everyone to use.
