New Aircraft

Work in progress.

"Blue come back now ya hear" is correct. You know your jetBlue William.
Unfortunately I've had to enlist help from Vulcan because I've hit a snag with the wing root bulge (where the wing meets the fuselage). We should have it resolved soon enough.

Today, 2 very différent aircrafts with not so common liveries.

A Fokker F100 operated by defunct Formosa Airlines.
You would have taken this one to travel from Taipeh to Kaohshiung. Now, there is an high speed train.
Formosa Airlines was merged into Mandarin Airlines in 1999.

And this one is a Piper Cub, used by Circus Pinder, in Europe, year 1958, to annonce a famous singer (Who knows her today?)

A320-232 jetBlue - Work in progress.

The A320 is back from the Vulcan Aviation workshops with the wing root bulge updated along with a few other more subtle upgrades. My painters have been hard at work this week.

There are more to come but I'll try to upload a few so you can have something to use in the mean time.

Airbus A320 - jetBlue

The first few jetBlue A320s have started rolling out of the paint yard.

There are many tail patterns in the jetBlue fleet. This one is called "Barcode". Don't ask me what they're doing in Vancouver. The number of stray aircraft landing there is starting to be a bit of a worry.

This one is called "Blueberries". The tail design appears on many aircraft but each one has it's own slogan just under the cockpit window. This one is "You All Come Back Now Ya Here?". Vulcan Aviation's workshop have not only repaired the wing root bulge but have completed a number of other upgrades. The front of the fuselage has had a significant re-model & the wings have been moved forward in line with the real aircraft. The avionics have also been bought up to current Vulcan standards (mostly).

And this is one of the older tail designs, "Bubbles".

There are more to be done but it all takes time.

Airbus have started offering a different wingtip design more like Boeing's. It turns out jetBlue are one of the first to take up the option. The jetBlue aircraft with the new winglets, or sharklets, have a registration number starting with N8. These two are N806JB & N834JB.

All available very soon on DLS.

:Y::) Thank you so much! Now i can fly more jetBlue planes!

Nice to be appreciated judahGrice.:)
I'll continue to generate more jetBlue re-skins over the next while. I have other updates I'd like to close out before i get too carried away so hopefully these initial ones will be enough for you to get by for now.

I have a request for you now. Take some screen shots of the jetBlues in your routes & post them on this forum. It gives we re-skinners some motivation.

Cheers

Rob

Thanks! Sure! Another view...

This view kind of gives away the fact that it's from one of my (unfinished) "Model Railroadz"TM routes:

Rob's paint crew work and Ian's aircraft construction holds up in any weather... (Thanks, guys!)

Nice pics, Andrew, thanks

But I'm wondering where this aircraft can take off and land!! May be in an other world!

Pascal,

There's just a circle (oval actually) of invisible track in the air on this route. It's modeled after an actual N-Scale layout I started in my last basement years ago. True, there's no room for an airport here, but I could put one down on the "carpet" surrounding the model railroadz module. It covers 2 Trainz baseboards.

May be you should install an helipad, Andrew..

This one doesnt need a too long runway:

A Piper Cub used by the US Navy as air ambulance in the Pacific during WW2. A removable hatch was provided on fuselage top to allow installation of a stretcher.

This airport is VERY much Work-In-Progress! There is a loop 24 miles out from it. I will add more, though that's what i have now.
