Neverfail really knows how to promote their games

My favorite part is where he gets the yellow thing stuck and it starts spasing out. Or when he just full on rams the building.

Probably one of the best Promo's i have ever seen Alex lol...

Not really i was just being Sarcastic lol..
Cheers Mick.:hehe:

I didn't manage 2, I got bored about 30 seconds into it before skiping to random positions to make sure I wasn't missing anything (I wasn't)

Probably the most boring thing I have ever not been bored enough to watch:)

Phil

Snowcat simulator!?

Really?

I shudder to think what's next.

Many years ago I mentioned to Auran how well a driving/racing game would go down (being part of that community for many years), and if they got the physics right and had the equivalent surveyor model for creating race tracks, they would be onto a real winner, as there is a huge Racing community that would lap it up.

It fell on deaf ears.

Now, years later, they release a snowcat simulator!?

Instead of going for a market that already has a huge following, they decide to go for a market that is more niche than Railways.
Who comes up with these game ideas? :hehe:

Smiley.

Lets hope that they were just being nice to the work experience guy, and accidentally backed themselves into a corner.:hehe: Really, lets pray that that is what happened, as the mind shudders to think this is what paid employees come up with.

Matt.

My grandson has the tank sim.

Real life action sim this one tanks bounce off trees & barbed wire fences if you run into them.He was bored with it in under 5min of play as he told me the game was stupid & for babies.

Dave

I'm guessing your grandson is somewhere between 8 and adulthood?!

Well as long as Trainz stays fundamentally the same se should be ok :o

Phil

Ha! That is the best thing ever! Can someone make me one of those big old school buses they harass polar bears with?! The ones with monster truck tires?!!!! I want a 1978 Bluebird with Detroit Diesel engine sounds, and a Dana truck axle and a HOLY CRAP....

It's official. Train geeks are no longer the biggest nerds in gaming. I'm going to meet some snow catters by the flag pole after school and pull their hair.

How about a corn planting simulator? Or the guy who paints the lines on the highway?.. Better keep them straight. Or a lawn mowing simulator? Or a Zamboni simulator?.. no hockey, just fixing the rink. Or an old lady on a Lark or Jazzy scooter thing at Wal-Mart simulator. Oooo! An elevator simulator! Or a.... Why the hell would any one want a snow cat simulator?!

Tardis626 beat me to it, so I'm going to change my vote to "Line Marking Simulator." You could start by painting white lines down the middle of roads and advance to car paking bays. You could pitt yourself against fast drying paints, and even select your own colour schemes. Something you can't do with lawns or snow.

Come on, it's obviously a joke, right? Why would someone try to promote anything with several minutes of 2 snow cats running into each other in a garage. This was an April Fools joke or something. You can't build a whole game, then try to sell it with a video like that.

This thread is a good example of why the 'off topic' forum won't be making a return.

Even though this is one of the few threads without ANY arguing, abusive/rude comments and bad feelings amoungst posters :D:p

Motorbreath: you're right, the video has to be a joke. Otherwise they would of done it again without the crashing into things :) (Well I hope they would anyway )

Phil

I have seen better Trainz video on Youtube...for crying out loud, Aurans TS2010 advertizement has music, and NO Railroad Sound Effects ? What kind of Rail Simulator advertisement is that ?

This is a good advertisement:

Don't forget they are publishers, nothing says they actually made this.

You can't see the future...?

 Snowcat Simulator provides a dedicated piece of equipment. Right now, you have several machines to operate, all forward mounted cab, dual-directional wide-track machines that can actually "pivot"(a Caterpillar can only stop one track, that's how it turns).

You have several choices of implements, the one pictured is a flexible-mounted, PTO-driven wide-track single-drum rotavator, with a smoothing attachment.

Your mission is to rebuild the skiers pistes, for easier(read safer) digress down the mountain path.

Simulated snowbanks are actually re-textured, to remove any ice-buildup, re-surfacing for skiers, snowboarders, leg & arm breakers, Sonny Bonos...

The future?

You have a controllable machine that can move awkwardly, attach to implements that can either float or be controlled...

You have changeable textures, in-game...

You have places you can go, places you can't go...

You can collide with other machines, for a possible "rescue."

So...what?

You have a simulator that can possibly be configured to run wheel & track type loaders, tractors, motor-scrapers, graders, farm tractors & implements, dump trucks that can be loaded & dumped, etc!

There is a huge market in that...but don't expect Adam Sessler or Morgan Web to be in the cab!
