Multiply those minutes by the number of assets to wade thru and its not minutes anymore.

Downloading to see it (esp with no FCT) then seeing it, checking the next one, it adds up.

It'll take longer to wade through all the assets to give completely descriptive names (depending on your definition of that) or to add thumbnails.

I disagree. When an asset is finished it should not take more than a moment to type an accurate description and snag a shot for a thumbnail. Compared to the time taken to create the asset, it should just be a quick finish step.

You can auto create a thumbnail in TANE upwards, Content and click automatically generate thumbnail so not really any excuse for not having one. They are usually not very good though IMO like you get the wrong view.

This has been my rule for AGES. If you don't love your work enough to do a thumbnail... I'm sure I won't love it.
