negative numbered kuid

couple of questions:

1) are the generic engines on bdaneal's website intended to be actually run, or only for repainting? http://www.steammachine.com/bdaneal/gbdl.htm

2) on the Baldwin Heavy 4-4-0 that I got from that website, I find three odd kuids with negative numbers or really long numbers. And then the engine has no wheels and has a (believe it or not) horse sound at idle - neighing, whinnying

Shrewd guess on my part - something got screwed up on my system? Or these generic locos are not intended to run as is.

What do you think?

Not faulty: default wagon
kuid:-1:42004201
Not faulty: Water
kuid:-3:10004

Bdaneal's locos are all meant to be run and do work perfectly, with some minor corrections, depending on which version you're using. So if you have a question and want specific help you'll need to identify which version of Trainz you're using and quote kuid numbers of assets in question, not the names.
kuids with negative numbers are builtin Auran assets.

Thx. I run TS 2010, and as it turns out I had compatibility mode off. When I turned it on, the proper sounds could be heard, and the wheels appeared.
