Needed Redo of Trainz Signal System so signals apply to BOWTH Human and AI Drivers !

i dont think it makes sense that the ai should know every signal aspect. i cant imagine how this could make anything operate any better. only the player should have to worry about special aspects. the AI can go by speed settings and the basic signal aspects. i never had any problem with this.

3) I want to make complicated signals that have scripts that find a way
to work around the Trainz 2009 AI signal limitations (but I am a beginner at signal making so it will take some time)

4) And by the way , where are (and how to edit) the scripts to edit / make signals ?
( is it as simple as editing a txt file , and is there (where?) a list of Trainz 2009 signal script terms used in signal script arguments )
Have you looked at the script files associated with any of the scripted signals? If they are not encrypted, you will see in plain text all the code that goes into controlling a signal.

Complicated and easy seldom go together until someone else does the hard work.

Personally, I think it is amazing how well things actually work.. Once you place the signals correctly (for Trainz that is, not necessarily prototype correct ) the AI usually works and the traffic flows. Of course it is easy to setup routes that will confuse the AI but that's the designers problem.

By the way, your tag line implies a serious misunderstanding of what Trainz is. It's a simple hobby simulator.If it had any pretensions of being so "realistic that it could be used as a training tool for the railroads" I doubt N3V would be selling TS12 for only 49.99 AUD.
