Need / Want to stop auto updates

Hello:

let me choose to update something.
I do not use most assets
I have disabled and deleted several thousand un-used and unwanted assets.
No..my 10 routes do not have missing assets.
I don't want to auto download more.

So..is there a way to stop auto DL , Ah.. short of pulling net plug.

The only thing I know that Trainz auto-updates is DLC content in TS12 SP1. Anything else requires the user to confirm whether they want to install the updates or not.

You can disable the auto update of DLC content. I have it disabled for my test (content creation) installation. All the other updates are discretionary. I have noticed that if the update count gets up around 1000 then the "update all" fails. So I try to keep it below that figure.

Well that's weird, Its already Un-Ticked.....Now I'm Ticked......
I swear I did not un-tick that in the past 6 months or more/
Last week I had over 1k two days ago I had 100+ this morning I have 10

If you do not want the DLC to automatically download you need to go back in and untick the option.

The numbers you refer to look more like the asset updates that are notified on the first page under content updates which are the ones you can choose not to download either in game or in CM.

Looks like confusion between DLC = Payware and DLC = freeware items from DLS.

DLC means any downloadable content, freeware, payware, from N3V shop DLS or third party site.

The In Game switch turns off the Payware updates, nothing else.

The In game Updates page shows updates that are available, they are not downloaded until you select and click download, it's just a list.

Don't want them, then don't open that page and the list will sit there doing nothing for ever more.

I repeat ...I do not choose anything to download...I do not choose download all...I do not choose download 1, I do not choose to download green eggs and ham..
Between 100+ and 10 Download content updates I did not open that window..
The only time I download, if at all is from the CM or black-pages.
