Hello! Thank you in advance for reading. I am currently building the CSX Pennisula Subdivision from Richmond, Virginia, to Newport News, Virginia. I am having a problem with the track spacing on the double track portion as well as the yards themselves. Fulton Yard in Richmond has a Beautiful curved yard and i am having trouble duplicating it. I have downloaded alignment tools from the DLS, but i am not sure i am using them correctly. The easements do not look correct to me. Any help would be great and i look forward to sharing this route with all the trainz community!

Have you tried using single track instead of double-track for the yard. When I lay double-track using single-track splines, I put in the first track, and use spline points as anchor points to mark out places where the track curves.

Once the first track is laid, I'll go in and lay the second track, and use those anchor points to assist the alignment of the two lines. I overlap the track vertex circles just enough to keep the space close, and even.

In the past, I've used double-track as an alignment tool. Place a short section of double-track, and connect the single-tracks to it. This will act as a spacer. When all my track is laid int hat section, I'll delete the fixed track and replace them with single track splines.

You may want to download my Niles, Hinton and Winchester from the DLS and see how I did the curved yard at Hinton (West Virginia).
By the way, it uses only built in content. If there is an exception aere two, they are not important.

There were many posts on the original Trainz forum, before the "Great Server Crash", concerning the avoidance of multiple tracks in route building.

The problem you're experiencing is just one of a whole load of reasons why it's always preferable to use "1 Track". You can always use the "Shift" key to prevent the splines from joining when laying tracks side by side.

In TS2009 and 2010, another very good reason to avoid multiple track is if you, or a user of your routem, wants to change the track using "Replace Assets" - it won't let you change multiple tracks!
