need some info on trs06 and windows xp compatibility mode in windos 7

hello 2 pieces of info Im looking for one is can trs06 runs in campatibility mode on window 7

second piece has to do with reinstalling trs 06 what I'm thinking is do a fresh reinstall I do have my new local folder and also some loose individual cdps on external hd also. is anyway these cdps files get corrupted just saving to external hard drive? thats the one of the things going trough my mind right now if Iopened a corrupt file it will ruin my trs06 game . also I have alot of hits on reinstalling the trs06 and the new local folder. but not to clear yet sorry about that. I do have assests.tdx but not assests.bku. heres what I learned about this once reinstalled trs06 delete the local folder that comes with the game install my new local folder in its place ( but to do that I would need to put it on the desktop ok that fine and then do I drag that file to the trs06 desktop icon? and then delete the assests.tdx I would delete assests.bku if I had this. and cmp will update the database and then I can use the cmp and dl everything is that right? or what I can do is to do a brand new trs06 from the box and use my sme username and password and redownload everyhing like that. I'm just a little hesitant to reload from external hd and my new local folder thats all. or I could just redownload everything to individually without a new loacal folder and just let cmp rebuold its data base. ( I just do not know ).

there is no need to run trs06 in xp compablity mode - just run as admin and it should be fine and infact run faster

I'm reinstalling trs06 on a new computer a few days from now and windows 7 on it. now I need to redownload all the content that I have back into trs06 individually. unless someone else has an easier way of doing that. just hope the redownloads are not corrupted by any way since I did save to external hard drive. I'll see.

Do you still have your old computer? You can take the local folder from there, and copy it on to your new computer then import the assets.

I don't think there will be any data corruption issues unless you have a severely crippled system with failing memory along with a dodgy hard drive.

I do have my local file on my desk top right now but as far as installing it on the new system I do not even know where to begin on that so I might ask you for help for that. as far as the corruption is concern the memory isss ok hd isss ok. as for the cripple system that I can not say ok or good it does act up. just humor me for this point on corruption if the files / folders are corrupted in the local file is there any way to fix this? I just like to plan ahead just incase something happens. you may want to give me another idea of installing the local folder if it does happen.
