Need some help

This may sound a little crazy, seeing how I've already got Trainz, but, are my computer specs good enough to even run Trainz 2012 very good?

Here are my Specs -

Windows 7 Ultimate
Processer - AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4200+
32-bit Operating System
NIVIDIA Graphics Card - Up to date.

The computer was originally a Windows Vista.

Your processor fits within the equivalent of the Pentium D listed in the game's minimum requirements. Not sure about your RAM situation, and clearly you don't know what your graphics card situation is like, so it's kind of a crap shoot if you will.

Since you've already purchased the game, the only true way you're going to know if it works is by firing it up, start from the lowest graphics settings and work your way up until you start seeing lag. If you get lag from the get go on the lowest settings, then obviously your computer is not built for the game.

Keep in mind that you may have to turn off Aero themes, and you will probably benefit from closing out any resource hogging software as well. Best of luck.

I have Aero mode turned off, and when my build for Trainz 2012 was not SP1, the game ran fairly quick. But after updating to SP1 - HF3, the game got very slow. My computer has about 297 GB, and it runs other games very good.

Going to HF4 fixed this for me after noting a big drop on performance after update from HF2 to HF3 and rockets on HF4
