need help with re-install of TC

Hello everyone ,

I posted a couple of weeks ago about not being able to get into CMP in my Trainz Classics all of a sudden. It had been working just fine for months, then one day just "disappeared". When I clicked on "Advanced Utilities" in the main menu, it took me immediately back to the desktop. Tried deleting the assets.tdx and cache - didn't help.

So the only thing left to do was uninstall and reinstall the game. But now when I reinstall the game, I get an error message saying ".../bin/contentmanager.exe - access is denied". Access is denied? Why? It gave me the option of aborting the install or skipping that step - I skipped that step and the rest of the game reinstalled without a problem, but clicking "Advanced Utilities" still kicks me out to the desktop - this time I assume because of that file not being installed.

Has anyone uninstalled and reinstalled Trainz Classics and had this happen? Why is the program denying me "access" to that file and how do I get it to install?

try opening CMD (if you used vista run admin)

del /f C:\Program Files\Auran\TC\Bin\contentmanager.exe

make sure u uninstall 1st!

Hello

After you have installed Trainz Classics as a administrator on Microsoft Windows Vista:

Right Click the following files in the Trainz Classics Directory below and select compatibility tab and tick the small square box ----> Run this program as an Administrator.

CCP
Launcher
Trainz
TrainzDiag
openGLextensions
gsc
gse
TrainzUtil

All I did was run Content Manager and Laucher as administrator and everything should be fine. Well for me anyway.

I'm not using Vista, I'm using XP. I'm sorry, I should have mentioned that. I'm signed in as the administrator (with no other users set up anyway), so wouldn't the computer consider that I am already "running the program as the administrator"?
