Hello,

I need some help to get my recent install of TS 2010 EE going.

- First of all, I did completed the software install 100% - no issues.

- I launched Trainz & got to the main menu, noticed a message on lower left corner; stated patches available... I clicked on the link & the system frooze.

- Logged off by pressing ESP key. Open internet explorer and came to TS2010 forums for answers. I noticed a section here for new available patches & this is where I need some help.

- My install of TS2010 EE had BUILD 42203. I download from 42203 to 43434

Now I also see other patches "HOTFIX" from 43434 to 44000 (no sure of the exact number) QUESTION IS: Do I continue to DL all these patches? If so, do I DL from in game only or via internet on this forum directly?

Any other issues or suggestions after I resolve the patch problem?

Thanks for inputs.

Go from your build to 44088. Do a search for "hotfix" 2nd page a thread by GPavlich lists all the hotfix's, select yours 4th from bottom. Save to desktop.
Leave it to patch when you start, it will stop at 50%, it hasn't. Could take an hour maybe more.
Welcome to trainz by the way.

OK, thanks for reply but still not luck.

Back to step 1 - he is what I am doing and the result, as follows:

1 - I download new patch "TS2010 SP3 - from 42203 to 43434"
2 - I selected "RUN" and that started the "AURAN PATCHER"
3 - Message stated: "This version of TRAINZ requires the AUGUST 2009 release of DIRECTX9. The patch can be retried once DIRECTX is updated. Patching aborted."

4- What do I do know? Where is this DIRECTX9?

Thanks for the help in advance!

I WANT TO PLAY - HELP ME PLEASE.

You missed the option to add DX9 when you installed the sim, do an internet search for direct x. You only want version 9c. Download that and your sorted.

OK, I DL DIRECTX9 from MS - done. AURAN PATCHER worked but only DL pacth to 50% and has not advance in over 9 hours....

Do I CANCEL or leave overnight in hopes that it will continue?

Thanks again.
