Need help finding road tunnels that are not fixed to the grid

I'm looking for concrete road tunnels for a highway that are not fixed to the grid so that I can place them at any angle. I found some nice double ones but the portals automatically follow the yellow lines and I can't straighten out the tunnel properly. Is it possible to edit the config to disable the istunnel tag?

Tunnels, if I'm not mistaken, are ALWAYS fixed to the grid. You can always F9 to grid view and possible add a few extra spline points and try moving them around to maybe make the tunnel a little straighter.

There are tunnel splines without the portal available. They do not have a road or rail attached to them. You place them, and then put a road spline inside of them. Possible ones are
<kuid2:343475:100546:2> ASS St-Unterf-Tunnel 2L
<kuid2:76656:60106:2> Sen City Tunnel Bore (S)
<kuid:515726:900685> Underpass Pt3 tunnel spline
<kuid2:302662:10056:1> AS-Strasse-Tunnel-UF

I found some but they have track in them. I can cover the track with a road or try to replace the track with invisible track in the config.

stagecoach,

How do you get around this effect of tunnels that can't cut through the terrain grid?

Yes, you need digholes, but unfortunately, this kind of thing happens if the tunnel intersects the terrain at the "wrong" angle. In this case it required 4 digholes (each 10x10m) to clear all the rock from inside the tunnel.

You then need to creatively use rock splines, grass splines and rock objects to cover up the empty hole into the abyss. It's annoying.

One or sometimes two side by side is all you need. If you are trying to remove the rock at the top, just raise the ground at the top edge of the dig hole.
