Need Hardware Advice

I ran into the problem of adding too many assets and the smooth driving of the route. A train stops every one or two feet running.
I expected trouble but the building of the route was so much more fun than running I got carried away. Is there any way of improving the hardware rather than tearing out buildings and scenery. Someone recently told me if I could list the specs on my computer he might be able to help me. So here goes. Its a Gateway with 6.0 GB's of memory with a AMD A8 3820 APU with Radeon HD Graphics 2.50 GHz. On a 64 bit operating system. Don Eisan

Sticking my neck out here, your rig is ok for light gaming (not graphic intensive) and general day to day stuff.
The APU on its own is not good enough to run trainz as its a combined cpu/gpu, trainz needs a dedicated graphics card. You will also have to get a new PSU.
The cpu @ 2.5 ghz (quad core) should be ok, ram fine. 64 bit O/S ok.
