Narrow gauge screenshots

Here's a better and more accurate pic:

Sorry I stand corrected. I just saw blue and thought Thomas. I expected the Skarloey railway to all be red as they are in Wilbert's original book (which I have from my children's younger days)

teddytoot, even in Wilbert's books, Falcon and Stuart were blue and green, and both changed to red when they went to the Skarloey Railway. Plus, the railway that Bulldog takes place at is not the Skarloey Railway, it's the (now lifted) Midland Sodor Railway.

Correction: The Skarloey Railway is actually 2' 3" (27"), just like the Talyllyn Railway. hbl stated that the Skarloey Railway is a twin to the Talyllyn Railway. All the narrow gauge railways on Sodor are 27 inches, (except the Culdee Fell Mountain Railway which is 2' 7 1/2", and also does not include the Arlesdale Railway, as it's miniature gauge).

While we're on the subject of Thomas, guess who this is...........

He was on loan to the Ffestiniog from the The Skarloey Railway due to the Thomas weekend.

Its a reskin of Prince. They're the same locos, Duke and Prince. So i just reskinned kevmt's loco and made a face for it. (i'm going to try and get rid of that smoke box door handle, but i'm not sure how)

So what do you think of it?

cheers, Daniel

It looks good. However, you cannot get rid of the smokebox door handle, it's part of the mesh, the only way of getting rid of it is to alter the original mesh.

Cheers

Chris

Now....My two favourite locos from Sodor.........Peter Sam and Duke (grandpuff) pause at Tan-y-Bwlch for water on the Thomas and Friends weekend.

The return trip terminated a Minffordd where a mainline connection was arranged to pick up the passengers and take them back to Sodor.

(if you can tell me what you think of the engines, if they look right)

cheers, Daniel

One big problem here, is that I don't allow Thomas repaints of these models!!
As far as I know suitable Thomas models have already been made by somebody else.

You should really ask permission before reskinning mine or anybodies stock, esp if you are going to post screenshots!!!!

Oh, sorry Kevin. I didn't read the license before doing these. I just made them formy own personal use so they won't really head off anywhere if they're not allowed. Once again I apologise:(

No problem, Daniel. As long as they are for your private use then there is no problem, but I must ask you not to post screenshots of them or pass them on.

Its always best to ask before starting work on any reskin (not just mine) and not post screenshots of them before asking.

On a brighter note, your version of the Ffestiniog route is coming along well :)
I have some Ffestiniog track on my computer that was never released (using genuine Ffest texturing!). The track that your using doesn't look quite right. The sleeper spacing seems too close together (more like standard gauge sleeper spacing).
I'll try and get mine packaged and uploaded to the DLS this week.

Cheers,
Kevin

Thanks Kevin. I'll give your track a go too. Sounds good aswell:D. And i can reasure you that my locos won't be going around without your permission;). Hows your new locos your working on, going?

Cheers, Daniel

Well, yes and no.

The story in the picture:
A steam traction engine was traveling alongside the locomotive. The traction lost control due to loose gravel and hit the locomotive off the track into a rock conveniently placed there (lol). No one was hurt and the line was running within the hour. Note the other NG loco. That's the works train. See my post in CRAZY shots!!! page 2, post 20 for more pictures.
