Naming/re-naming stations.

Hello all.

I want to start building my own route in Trainz TRS2006, but before I do, I would like to know if it’s possible to name/re-name the stations in surveyor?

Can anyone help please?

Here's how it works in earlier versions of Trainz - TS2010 is probably the same.

Load your layout in Surveyor and view the station in question.

Bring out the Surveyor tab where stations can be placed on the layout.

In the tab, click the question mark button, then click your station. If it is possible, you will then be able to change the name. However, not all station types allow name changes.

This principle applies with quite a few other object types such as industries and notice signs.

Hi John. Thanks for replying.

I had worked this out for myself. (Honest). But you had replied before I could post what I had done.

I was thinking about a tutorial I recently read about portals and it explained how to configure the portals and one of the things it said was about renaming the portals.

Which is almost the same as your explanation for re-naming stations.

So I thought “wonder if that method would work for re-naming stations”? So I gave it a try & it works.

Thanks for pointing out that not all stations can be re-named & the info about other items in surveyor.
