the 475 is the Oldest N&W steam locomotive.
You see the 475 was built By the Baldwin Locomotive Works of Eddystone PA back in 1906. It was purchased for the Norfolk and Western for mix train service on N&W branch lines in VA. The 475 was retired from the N&W steam roster back in 1958-1959. In 1987 the 475 Was purchased by the boone railroad museum of Boone Iowa. But never run at boone. In 1991 the Strasburg purchased the 475 from the Boone Railroad museum. And it took two years for the 475 to be returned to steam. In 1993 the 475 had made it's debut at strasburg. Then in 2006 the 475 turned a 100 years old. Then in 2010 the 475 was it's long scrapped sister 382 for a photo charter.

The 425 can pull 12 R&N and NS coachs. With two R&N SD40-2's. from Port clinton to Johnstown.
Key part of that statement: WITH TWO R&N SD40-2'S.
There's a lot you can do with two SD40-2s, pacific or no pacific.
